Hmmmm, I cant fit all of Gray, Bartel, Martin and Swan in my side with Belly, unless I turn Maric into Luey

Maric to Luey with NicNat R1 or get rid of Bartel?

Not turning Maric into Belly. The whole point of me always wanting Belcho was to have him in the forwards for cover

Might have to get rid of Bartel, which I really don't want to do...

If maric and Nic Nat are R1 and R2 i wouldn't want belly in my forwards, he wont be a keeper and so is a waste of a trade, a trade which you would use to replace an injured ruck anyway. I don't see the fuss with bellchambers :-\

I've swung Gray into M5 and pushed Newton/Cripps to M6/7 to allow Belly in at F4.

Between Luey, Belly and NicNat surely there will be at least two in a given week.

I too had Gray, Martin, Bartel and Swan in the FWDs pre-verdict. They all seem to good to pass up.

The reason Belly is key is not to save a trade on a LTI to a ruck, its to save on late outs and 1-2 weekers that you would rather have bench cover for rather than waste a pointless trade on.

Keep Bartel, he's been a star in the preseason and will spend a lot more time in the midfield.

There are 22 pages of fuss.
He's considered in the FWD line to cover the inevitable 1 or 2 game missing from one of your main rucks.
That way you swing him into the rucks and play your forward bench player.
The idea is you're actually SAVING a trade when one of your main rucks is out for a week or so.

Okay guys, been hatching this plan ASADA pending, going to put it into place now and wanted your thoughts.

I'm going to start Belly at R2, with a R/F basement priced R3. This is because I think Belly represents excellent value and isn't too injury prone compared to others around his price. Then, one of my first upgrades most likely around Rounds 6-8 will be a forward rookie who has mooed to a Ruck Premo who has fallen, swinging Belly forward to cover my rucks.

The main reasoning behind this plan is that I don't have enough confidence in any premo Ruck other than Goldy to pick them at their current prices. It means I also get an extra Fwd premo compared to those who start Belly at F4.

The main hole in it, is that I wont have cover until I swing Belly fwd, but
I'm willing to take that risk in the early part of the season.

I like that

Like you said though, you've got no ruck cover for first 6-7 rounds or so, which is a bit concerning, because if your R1 or Belly miss a week or two, you have to cop a donut or burn a trade and if it's belly then you wont bring him back and it's all for nothing

RaisyDaisy

Argh!

This is doing my head in now! I cant fit everyone in unless I pick Luey, which I'm not too excited about

This is going to be tough

So if you have goldy and nicnat, everyone thinks you need tbc at f4? Why? I can see the need for him if you have leuy though.

I can't see goldy or nicnat getting rested, they will play every game and if they get a LTI you have to trade them anyway. aren't you better off going someone like Salem and saving the cash for another line? who's with me here

You have Belly to cover those 1-2 week injuries. If someone could guarantee me that all the top ruck men this year will play 22 games or receive 4+ week injuries then Belly wouldn't get a look in.

Scenario:
I have Goldy and no cover, Rd 7 Goldy has a tight hammy, gets left out. I trade him to Sauce. Then round 15 Sauce has a tight hammy, gets left out do I burn another trade or cop the donut? If I start with Goldy and Belly in the fwd line all this potential drama becomes a non event.

Belly also solves the F6 dilemma, it's an absolute no-brainer to pick him.
