Looking forward to Tuesday when we can finally resolve this damn issue

If he plays rd 1, his in. If they cop weeks his out, and hope that two starting rucks can get through the first month or so without being injured, then get Belly on bubble

Have you decided not to hold him mate?

Well if he is out for 2-3 weeks then I think I will drop him, and bring him in when he is on the bubble, or a week or two earlier if one of my rucks goes down

I have him at F3, but having to field Hogan in his absence could cost me points

TBH I'm still undecided. I know he will be in my team 100%, I just need to determine if it's worth starting and holding him to save a trade vs getting him later

I have the same problem, if I trade him out I'll have 375K to spend which is an awkward amount, I would probably move Gray from M5 back to the Forwards and take a punt on Rich or Wells
Other option would be downgrade Newton/NVB and replace Belly with the Bont.

Just looking at Leuey's NAB scores and wondering if he is as bad a pick as some are saying

ROUND                   SC SCORE                  TOG%
1                            72                             59
2                            44                             52
3                            96                             68

not that bad thoughts ?

I wouldn't trust the 96 - he kicked the goal to level it in the last minute.......

That's fair enough but his TOG% has not been huge think his scoring is ok for someone being eased back in the NAB

As long as you set fair expectations then Leuy at R2 seems like it should be fine

I'd expect him to average around the 80 mark, but he does have the ability to push 90 or so

Just don't crack it if he churns out a 60 :P

If you can use the 140-220k really well elsewhere by picking him instead of NicNat, Maric or Goldy then go for it :)

Oh I'll crack it haha but yeah just weighing the points you could lose with him against how many points you can gain with the extra cash  :-\

Beside the looming ASADA verdict, what is the problem with having Bellchambers as the starting R2?

Nothing if he plays. As a number one when fit he can pump out 90+. Which in context of 300k pricing.... its pretty good.

Same as Luey

I just want Belly in the forwards for ruck cover as there are no rookie rucks and I'd hate to have to trade out a premo ruck just because they miss a week

Goldy and maric are the big 2 for me i reckon they will average 100

I am trying to figure out the infatuation with Maric. The guy has had one good year in his career and doesn't he have a groin injury that needs to be managed through the rest of his career? He has also never played 22 games so that is not a great sign for those going with no ruck coverage. If you are going to pick a ruck with one elite season and injury problems you are better off picking the cheaper Nic Nat or Minno. The only reason I can see people picking him is his high hit out to advantage numbers the last few years but Nic Nat is the guy that leads the category and Minno lead the league 2 seasons ago

He will be spending large chunks of the game forward so Martin can run around in the ruck and they can actually have someone to kick to. Before his injury he was playing large chunks forward and Trent freaking West was getting a substantial amount of ruck time. He scored 79, 84 and 74 before he got injured which isn't horrible but it is not great either. You would also expect him to spend even more time forward since Martin has to play in the ruck to be successful and they will want to play both. This would make me think there are more 70 odds with the occasional 90 on the horizon. It is not like a couple years ago when he came back from injury and took his number 1 ruck mantle straight back.

He moved over to Richmond and averaged 113 in his first year there. The following year his average did drop to 97ish, but he only had 4 sub 80 scores that year and then he was injured last year coming in at rd11 and played every single game remaining in the year while "managing his groin issues" and still averaged 107 over the last 10 games

Has then completed a full pre-season and averaged 102 from 2 NAB matches at only 76% TOG

At 535k he is priced at an average of 99 which I think represents great value. I think he can average 105-110

Mummy, Sauce and even Sandi will have higher scoring days then Maric, but I just cant bring myself to spend 600k on rucks, especially when you factor in the new rule. I'd love to start Mummy, but I just think Goldy, Maric and NN represent the best value for money, I just decided to go with Maric because personally for me I think his value for price is spot on

There is a lot of uncertainty around the rucks this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Minson pops up and dominates, we just don't know, and have to just pick 2 we are comfortable with and hope for the best :)
