Lycett averaged something like 97 when Cox wasn't playing Rico

Why cant he do that this year? Even if the new rules drop him down to a 90 average, that's only going to be about 15 points below the top end rucks, but the money saved can be used to get those points elsewhere, plus having all 3 means zero ruck donuts

Lol there were only 2 games he played without Higgins: GC in their first game without Ablett and the bombers. Hardly a telling stat.

LOL Dave I thought the exact same thing after looking into it. LOL at just using the stats they want to make it sound better

I'll keep an eye on him during NAB, but cant see him being a good enough option
I've always been of the exact same view. Jumping all over blokes off 4-6 games doesn't give you any indication. Keeping up that average for a whole year is just such another level

Also his 95+ scores last year were against GC, Pies, Melbourne, and GC. Who are either weak teams or have weak/inexperienced rucklines

Also I think Sinclair is a better player and will eventually overtake Lycett

What?

What you quoted is in relation to Jason Johannisen. Not Lycett

It's about getting excited over a few games and using a small sample.

West Coast finished outside the 8. That means more fixtures against bottom 8 sides this year.

Take it as you will, but Goddard just said that Bellchambers is their number 1 ruck, and Giles can support him to share the load. I got the impression that Giles isn't guaranteed best 22 just from how BJ sounded too

Just thought it was worth mentioning as some people seem to think that Giles would walk in and take over :P

I'll believe it when I see it.

He also said both will play but it will depend on matchups to see if they carry both

Fox just have the best 22 up at the moment and no Giles in there either.

Ricochet

Its been mentioned a few times this preseason, so hopefully it ends up that way come rd 1

popular pick. Why?

I know he is handy to switch between fwd/ruck.

But don't think he will score well. Could be upgraded later. Or could be a burnt trade.

Thoughts?

There is a whole thread on mid price rucks. Have a look there. A lot of debate about Belly

Will belly play a NAB GAME

Obviously as one of the Essendon 34 he will not.
