Week 1 of the byes are behind us and while some have performed exceptionally well, others are beginning to see the crust of the earth start crumbling beneath their feet. Round 12 was billed at the start of the year, the bye round to end all bye rounds. If you can manage to get 18 on the field this week, then kudos, expect to be moving up the rankings. Fail award goes, well, to me, for completely forgetting to write this on Thursday due to the early game. Doooooh.

Well done all, we are back inside the top 200 at 192nd place. The next 2 weeks is where we can either make up or lose a lot of ground as a league. Target should still be the top 150. In Head to head Engineticians got one  the biggest of wins of his career to get on the board with a massive victory over league leader Spinach. The former still held top spot by percentage but is now only 2 games clear of 5th place. The middle of the table is still very congested with 10 teams within 1 game of each other. Engineticians is still rooted to the bottom of the ladder without a win. Overall points is continuing to spread the top from the bottom with Spinach pulling clear of the chasing pack by 161 points. At the bottom end of the ladder Cousins Coke n Ice has taken over the bottom feeder position and it is seeming very much like a 2 horse race for the honourable 17th spot.

Boyed by a breakout win Engineticians is looking to roll over Big Macs Army. Will be byes be the start of a very late run back into the pack

Frogjumper vs Spinach
Frogjumper ruturns home to the Floating Lagoon after getting a much needed road win last time out. The league leader Spinach is out for revenge after a very tough loss and will be hoping to come away with the points.

TailsPower vs Mountalizians
Tailspower will be filthy after a losing with a score that would have beaten 14 of the other teams in the comp. The loss leaves him languishing in 16th place and in desperate need of a win. Will the high reaching Mountalizians be a mountain to high to climb.

Tiger of Old vs Cousins Coke n Ice
Tiger of Old is looking to continue the pain for Cousins Coke n Ice and inflict a 10th loss for the season. It very much looking like relegation is on the cards come seasons end.

FC HAWKSTONE vs Fantasy Addicts
Fantasy Addicts is in good form currently with wins in 4 f the last 5 matches. However he will need to continue this form so not to rue the poor start to the season.

$Blues vs Corkascrew
A massive game that will have far reaching consequences on the ladders. Both teams are at 7-3 and the winner will gurentee holding onto atleast 3rd spot next week, while the other will fall back into the chasing pack.

TRIPLE X vs Stubbsy’s Heroes
Another massive match between 2 mid table teams. Both have the chance to move up and start putting pressure onto the top teams, while the loser will be in a dog fight for a finals spot.

Dos’ Destroyers vs bicsbest
Both teams are looking to bounce back from poor showings last week. Which team will be able to reverse the trend and put a game on their rival.

Terrifying Glue vs WingardiumLobbeosa
Terrifying Glue has been the gentleman and decided to play a home game at the away stadium of WingardiumLobbeosa, due mainly to the magical drawing power of the stadium aptly named Nurmengard. Will this decision backfire badly or will it be a masterstroke of genius.

That is a good analogy on where the league is sitting at the moment, Some people need to take bold risks to have a chance at success. The second week of byes threw up some very low scores, with a few very lucky winners and unlucky losers. It’s all in the luck of the draw during byes, atleast there is only 1 week left of them. I command everyone to celebrate with a beer, scotch or wine this weekend.

The climb back up the rankings has continued with the league moving up to 169. Our target of 150 is more than achievable this week. I would love us to be able to get this back into the top 100 leagues in its first edition. For the first time this year there is starting to get a split at the top of the league with 2 teams 1 game clear of 3rd and 2 clear of 4th. Both Spinach and Mountainlizians will be hard pressed if they don’t hold a top 4 spot from here. The middle of the table is still wide open with 6 games to go. With only 2 games covering 6th and 16th; expect a fight right down to the wire from the last final spots. It’s a tail of 2 takes in overall points this week with Spinach’s 161 point lead completely wiped out. Corkascrew is now in the lead by 17 points.

A hot Engineticians is looking to continue to woes for Frogjumper in a must win clash. Still 4 games outside the top 8 he must win all matches and hope for other results to go his way, a win though will put Frogjumper in a difficult position going forward in the finals race.

TailsPower vs Big Mac’s Army
A big match for both teams, with each currently sitting on 16 points and 2 games back from finals. The winner will stay well in the race, while the loser will be very much an outside chance at best.

Tiger of Old vs Spinach
Spinach hasn’t let up at all, leading for most of the season. This is a danger game for the leader with Tiger of Old scrapping in the mid table dog fight and wanting to continue climbing after last weeks win..

FC HAWKSTONE vs Mountalizians F.C
Mountalizians F.C will go a long way to locking in a top 4 spot if he can get the win this week. It will put him 3 games clear of 5th place with only 5 games to go.

$Blues vs Cousins Coke n Ice
$Blues will be hosting the Cousings Coke n Ice at the “Peter Gunn Memorial Oval” hoping that the soulful blues music will distract the cousins.

TRIPLE X vs Fantasy Addicts
Triple X is hoping that home ground advantage will help get over the Fantasy Addicts. The “XXX not R18 stadium” will be packed full for this crucial match with dire consequences for the losing team.


Dos’ Destroyers vs Corkascrew
The early season leader has had a massive fall from grace, sitting all the way down in 11th place with the potential to fall even further. Coming up against a inform Corkascrew team, winning this will be a big ask.

Terrifying Glue vs Stubbsy’s Heroes
A must win for Terrifying Glue. A loss will put him 3 games outside the top 8 and  the season being effectively over. Stubbsy has a lot of incentive this week with the top 4 still realistically within reach.

WingardiumLobbeosa vs bicsbest
A match that is impossible to pick. The teams are dead centre of the ladder and separated by a massive 0.10%, This is a 8 point game for the winner as they will gain the % advantage over the opponent.

With the addition of the 4th bye round the league has gone from strength to strength; coming into 135th place overall. Let’s keep the trend going this week.
We only have 4 rounds left in the minor round matches and the league finals race is still wide open. Every match at the moment has some impact on where people will finish. There are still 14 teams in the race for finals and 10 with a shot at the top 4. Only Spinach (1st) and Mountalizians (2nd) would feel comfortable with the position they are in, the later punching well above his weight only sitting 7th in overall points.

A must win match for Tiger of Old. Engineticians finals aspirations have been snuffed out over the bye rounds while Tiger of Old needs the win to stay within striking distance of the top 8.

FC HAWKSTONE vs TailsPower
FC Hawkstone has top 4 destiny in his own hands over the next 4 weeks. He needs to keep winning and has the advantage of playing at Hawkstone Hall this week, while Tailspower needs a win to stay with the top 8.

$Blues vs Frogjumper
A massive matchup between 7th & 8th. The loser will lose the chance at top 4 and be under real pressue to make the top 8. While the winner will put themselves in a very good position going forward.

TRIPLE X vs Big Mac’s Army
Big Macs Army cannot afford to lose again this year otherwise he will mathamatically be out of the race for finals. Triple X needs the win almost as much as a loss will make finals very difficult.

Dos’ Destroyers vs Spinach
The early season leader finally faces the top of the table Spinach. A win will lock Spinach into a top 4 spot and a double chance.

Terrifying Glue vs Mountalizians F.C
Can Mountalizians F.C continue his great run this year and keep the pressue on Spinach, A win will make top 4 a likely result come seasons end.

WingardiumLobbeosa vs Cousins Coke n Ice
This match should be a for gone conclusion if results were determine on paper alone. Can Cousins Coke n Ice string a few wins together and make a run to not earn the wodden spoon.

Bicsbest vs Fantasy Addicts
Bicsbest will be hoping the drug addled Fantasy Addicts team shows up rather than the Juiced version. This is the sort of match that must be won if he has aspirations come August.

Stubby’s Heroes vs Corkascrew
Stubbsy Colm Chamber hosts one of the biggest matches of the year. Both teams are sitting within striking distance of the top 4, but a loss will cause some sleepless nights worrying how to turn around the season next week.

With 3 rounds to go the league is still as close as the hair on a dogs back, except obviously the stupid bald ones. Overall the league has continued to move up the ranking now into 120h place. The aim of top 100 is a very real possibility.
On the Ladder, Spinach has mathematically sewn up the top 4 spot and is only 2 wins away from claiming the minor premiership. FC Hawkstone is the only team left in with the percentage that is close enough to give him the run if it comes down to level points. Along with Spinach, FC Hawkstone and Mountilizians are the other 2 teams that are almost certain finals contenders. There are 10 teams playing off for the remaining 5 final spots. In overall points t is a 3 horse race or the win with Corkascrew joining the top 2 teams as the only other team still in the hunt. At the bottom end of the table Engineticians & Cousins Coke n Ice will need a miracle to avoid relegation, with a group of 4-5 playing off to not join them.
