IMO keepers are:

Defenders who average 90+, maybe 85+ for D6.
Midfielders who average 110, maybe 105+ for M7, M8.
Rucks that average 100+
Forwards that average 95+, 90+ for F5, F6.

::)

This is how I determine keepers. I pick the best 22 players for the relevant positions and write them down. I then pick my starting SC team. The players in both teams are my starting keepers.  Is there any other way  ??    ;)

May work for afl fantasy but not SuperCoach with limited trades, I'd say best 12 mids would be classified keepers. If you can get the top couple in then the rest in top 12 your doing alrite. Etc etc for forwards and backs. More like top 9 for them but

What I mean is this is how I determine my " starting keepers ".  We don't know what our finishing keepers are, or can calculate them, until the season unfolds.    :)

I have a list of maybe 15ish guys, 12 of whom I plan to make my upgrades too. Sure, sometimes there will be better options that come along, and if so I won't complain, but we can only try!

12 are certain keepers and another three are potential keepers. On the balance of probabilities, I don't expect more than one of the three to actually turn into a keeper. If two or three do then I'll be in excellent shape. Ahhh, it's that time of year when I'm full of optimism...before everything comes crashing down.

Don't forget the guys we start as keepers that decide SC scoring isn't for them anymore :(

Holz

4,4,2,3 or 4

I have titchell as my F4 at 400k he is almost a premo and should go 90+ if his role looks good.

Only 4 in the guts Holz. Thought you would have had 5 at the very least and more likely 6.  ? :)

FactHunt

12 keepers.
Rolling the dice on 4 guys who are not yet premo... hoping to jag at least 2 into the premo arena, all 4 would be nice.
This is where you can make the difference in an average team to a great team- with risk comes reward (or more commonly a face plant!)

Bully

Thinking I may just pick up 1 premo defender, will be looking at midfiled types like Newnes & Yeo. I think some gambles will need to be made given most people's forward lines and rucks will be the same.

Yeah I hate it, I just can't see a way around it with the terrible back options. I still may drop whitecross to a rookie, titchell to a rookie and than at least bring in brad crouch into the mids .

I would never go 6 but 5 is what I like. I get 6 inside the first 8 rounds though.

Think I'll definitely bring my 5th in.

Currently have Gazza,   Pendles,   Jelwood,   Ward,   and Prestia. Strong in mids, forwards, Nicnat and Kreuz in the ruck and middle to low all through defence. Trying to start strong where the scoring should be the hottest but it means scoring enough to carry the defence shortfall. Think it's the best way to go, but I haven't been right about anything yet. Maybe I'm due.  Cheers.    ;)

Done at least another 10 to 15 team drafts but pretty happy with that mid prem set-up, and the ruck, but in love with my forward line of:-   DEledio,   Franklin,   Martin D.   Bennell,   J Martin.  It's just a bloody great shame about my defence though.  !!    ;D ;) :)

13 I plan on using as keepers, Newnes/Ziebell arguable.

Def - Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Newnes
Mid - Ablett, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Selwood, Sloane
Ruck - Nic Nat
Fwd - Deledio, Swan, Ziebell

Plus Waters, Newton, Belchambers, Whitecross

And rookies/<200k players.

I'm down to 13.

4 + Waters
5 (Ward M5) + NVB
1 (NicNat) + Kreuz
3 + Belly

Brought in the great man Gaz! Weaker rucks and forwards, but if Kreuz get's #1 ruck it's worth it, I hope...

Money Shot

15 for me.

Shaw, Hibberd, Birchall, Newnes, Waters
Gazza, Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood, Ward
Goldy, Nic Nat
Franklin, Martin, Swan

I know many of you think Waters wont be a keeper but I think if he is fit he will be a perfect D6/D7 as he should average 75-80 in my opnion.

In saying that I may need to downgrade somenone to a mid pricer as most of my rookies are pretty shower.
