Going in with a strategy of only the 12 100% keepers and none of the "ticky touchwood' guys.

Hibberd
Shaw
Newnes
Ablett
Rockliff
Pendlebury
Ward
Goldstein
Naitanui
Goddard
Martin
Swan

Of course hoping a few mid Pricers (J.Martin, Henderson, waters etc...) can go close but even if not they're solid cash cows!

It's gonna be interesting to see which rooks will get games round 1. Could push us all back 1 keeper or so if we have to splash that extra 100k here and there for a playing rook.

Yep..and doesn't it P me off  >:(

Seeing Newnes pop up a bit. I legitimately think Newnes has a good shot at being top 10, that's why i considered him a keeper. In fact if I'm spending over 400k on a player (maybe 450-500 in mid) it's because I expect them to be top in their position. Otherwise that's way too much dosh for a stepping stone.

Everyone who's commented, what's your spread looking like? I'm interested to see how many premos people have across the board. Would ideally like to go in with 5 mid premos but I feel the defence and ruck don't allow it.

Struggling myself to work out how people have 14 absolute keepers.

I think I've found a lot of value in defence and a couple quality players in the forward for between 450-500. I've got 120k in the bank to upgrade to a super premo, but I'm keeping that on hand for now in case I need some expensive rookies.

Currently have -

Simpson
Birchall
Hibberd
Hurn

Ablett
Pendles
Selwood
Cotch

Goldy
Naitanui

Deledio
Goddard
Martin
Swan

That's 14 so it can be done. Much will depend on the midfield rookies, hoping both Lambert & Vandenberg get promoted soon.

15 keepers to a side will be incredible effort if all them rooks start.

Agreed. That's Why I went with more Expensive rookies.
Better to downgrade expensive rookies than ruin your structure and lose keepers to upgrade cheapo rookies.

Shaw/Birch/Hurn/Newnes + Waters (Maybe?)
Pendles/Sloane/Ward/Barlow/Swallow + NVB
Goldy/Nat
Lids/BJ/Swanny + Tmitch

15 keepers. Few top 10s on each line.

Dunno how you squeezed that extra player in the mids, you're teams not too different to mine. Must be TMitch
Which Swallow is that?

Yeah, can see where you saved money though. No Ablett and Selwood saves big $$. Also your backs aren't the top lines like Simpson hodge hibbard. Could work for you. Just means upgrading will be harder as more $$ needed to get the top range premos in

Ahh didn't even notice no Ablett! Crazy how much of a difference that can make. Too risky for me though.

Keeper27

Andrew Swallow.
I really do think that he will avg 105ish.
Which sits him nicely in M5-M8.

Sure i have no Gazza. But i don't think I've lost any points with my M1-M4 picks.
I think most people would agree that those guys will finish top 10.

You say my back picks are not top tier picks. Hurn is underpriced.
Take out his Injured 7 and he avg's 91.67 that's better than Hibbo & Hodgey.
Shaw avg's just as much as Simmo. Take out his score when he ran KO'd himself and his avg would've been 95.88

So i don't think I've lost out in the backline either.

The no Gazza pick could cost you 20 points a week from the get go not being captain. Yeah backs not too bad. I have shaw also. Hurn gets a lot of attention off half back so that worries me.
There not your ultra premos but. The top tier would be Ablett, Rockliff, pendles, Selwood, Fyfe, Kennedy, Beams. Think you need to start at least 3 of them, then a Barlow and a ward would be good. Can see Sloane and ward battling for more at 10-20 position.

Interesting to see that starting more bottom end premo's allows you to easily squeeze 2-3 more keepers in. Now trying to work out if its worth it or not

I think it works as long as you 3 guys that you realistically think will finish top 10 on the lines (Def/Mid/fwd) as a foundation to start with and your team will eventually have those 2nd tier (11-20) anyways. Some of those 2nd tiers could even make the jump to first tier like Newnes or Tmitch.

As for Joelwood i plan on getting him midway when his price drops like the last 2 seasons.

Boy, that's an expensive M1-4! Not too shabby on the other lines either, I'm quite impressed.
