If the tag goes to Parker then he will miove up front, like KJack did last year. Then others like KJAck, Titch will go in to the mids

All of these scenarios we won't know until a few games in  :'(
no they will change each game anyway

Yeah that's true. Don't think I'll bother with him. If he cements himself in the midfield and is killing it then I'll just pay the extra to get him in

If he gets a start and has a good first couple of games he would be a great downgrade if you need to offload for injury or poor form from an initial pick! I'm not averse to making the odd correctional trade!

Who would you be downgrading after a couple of games to a 400k Titchell? Injury sure but anyone >400k you must be picking with the idea that they're a keeper, a couple of games is in no way enough to judge form...

A few years ago in my first season of SC I traded Birchall to Duffield because Birch was getting 70s/80s and Duff getting tons after about 4-5 games. The rest of the season Birchall killed it and Duffman went bad, TERRIBLE trade on my part...

I don't fully subscribe to the "never trade a premo" philosophy, but 2 games is not enough to make that lofty call...

I understand your viewpoint, but I can be known to rage trade occasionally with scant disregard for what may be future disappointment!

Who would I downgrade after two weeks...not sure, but I reckon the chances are that there could be a case for it, a lot happens in footy in two weeks!

you would only do that if a player was injured and outfor weeks

I would do it if a player had under performed and annoyed me enough to consider jumping on a hot prospect, got to move quickly to stay in the game!

this is the SC board not AF though. Trades are very valuable, wasting a rage trade in rnd 3 will hurt you in the back end of the season.

I'd rather Swan. If Mitchell is killing it but all my forward premos are doing well, I won't complain, because hey, I'll already have 4 keepers there anyway.

Yup, although I do plan a couple of corrective trades by round 3 if there is a rookie that has exploded and I end up with Karnezis 2.0

PICCOLLO

Cant bring myself to pick him.
Perhaps a quality upgrade if he shows us he can perform, injury free, at the top level. At most other teams he'd be lock and i'd probably get him.

I have been an advocate of Mitchell since before his first game in the AFL. His ceiling is monstrous as we all know. But Ive gone a bit cold on him due to a price of 400k and relatively lacklustre NAB.

We all know he is a possession pig in the NEAFL. But in a more role based elite level where its far more about team synergy, will it translate?

And job security. With the midfield the Swans have, Mitchell is playing out of the fwd line rotating in to the middle. Which may be why his NAB has been just ok. In this case, unless one of the engine room goes down with an injury, is 400k about what he will be scoring anyway? Making him an average choice at best.

As I said, I think he has the potential to be a fantasy pig. But in his current role and level in the pecking order, is it a useless selection when it looks like we are stacking rookie fwds and there are better pure midfield options like J Steven (450k)?

kilbluff1985

he hasnt done enough for me yet wanted at least a 90+ game

Think a lot of people had him in there teams before SC even opened but he has not done a great deal as yet  :(
