TEAM NAME: The SuperCoach's Team.
DEF: K. Simpson, H. Shaw, M. Hibberd, J. Newnes, B. Whitecross, Z. Jones (N. Brown, D. Mckenzie)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, J. Selwood, C. Ward, I. Heeney, B. Boekhorst, N. Freeman (R. Atkins, J. Steele, K. Lambert)
RUC: T. Goldstein, N. Naitanui (T. Nankervis)
FWD: L. Franklin, D. Martin, D. Swan, M. Clark, J. Hogan, J. Laverde (C. Daniel, N. Krakouer)
CASH LEFT: $5,000

Defence: in my opinion Simpson, Shaw and Hibberd could and should all be top 5 mids and go close to averaging 100. Newnes is the Swallow of last year and with more midfield time I see him going around the 90 mark and being a keeper. Whitecross and Jones should hopefully get games and score pretty well. Brown obviously wont score but for 150k I will take 40 each week and a bit of cash. I really like Mckenzie and see him getting games.

Midfield: The first 5 mids I have selected could easily be top 5 mids come seasons ends and should almost defiantly be top 10. I don't like spending a lot of money on rookies so Heeney, Boekhurst and Freeman are all great options and are cheap, Heeney is a gun hopefully he gets games early, as a Carlton supporter I love Boekhurst and I expect him to play early, Freeman is a gun. bench rookies are just place holders.

Rucks:
Goldy and Nic Nat will be top 5 rucks this year and go 100+ enough said. Nankervis should get games which is good enough ruck cover for me.

Forwards: This line has had to suffer a little bit but really I think it is still reasonably strong. Franklin, Martin and Swan could easily be in the top 5 and Clark and Hogan (If fit) are absolute locks. Im not to sure on Laverde but he was expected to be a top 10 pick so think he could slot straight into the Essedon side (Not to sure). Daniel is tearing the house down and I think he will play 20 or so games and with Krakouer although he hasn't been promoted of the rookie list I think that they drafted him to play.

Extra Notes:
14 top ten keepers in my opinion which is great
7/14/9 which isn't the best for the byes but it is manageable.
Rookies are cheap but I think they will get up come round 1.
Don't really like going big down back so have tried my best to get cheap players who will play.
Managed to keep five mid premos ... just :P

Cheers guys.
Would love your thoughts on it.

If Swanny doesn't pull off that 100+ you are hoping for your fwd line will be bleeding points, everyone is worried about the backs but it just grinds me that 500k+ fwd means 100+ and 500k backs 95+ i really believe this year its going to be all about nailing those 1 or 2  350k ish backmen who can hold a respectable 80+ and become those d5-d6 keepers.

Yeah I understand that but Swanny will go 100+ alongside with Franklin and Martin and all of the rookie forwards I have should get games and score just under 70 in my opinion.

Really like this side MS. Hopefully whitecross can break into hawks 22. Very strong mid. Love the first 5 choices. Strong ruck. Set and forget. I've gone the same forward strategy. Think three premos in the forward will be enough to start with.

Keep this and make a Watchlist for nab cup! Nice stuff!

Cheers mate!
Yeah going weak in the forward line is the way to go I reckon.

Will do.

I think as the season gets closer you will be dumping one of those mids for cash. A mid rookie for the price of WhiteX/Jones is going to score more ands you can spread the money around to sure up D5 and the forward line. I am not sold on Swan and wouldn't want him as my forward 3.

Yeah I can already see it happening and do know what I will do if that's the case but I really want 5 mids and think Whitex and Jones should play but if not Ward>NVB for money.

Hibberd to Yeo
Ward to Crouch
Jones to <430k DEF

Yeah wishful thinking I guess and I do have Brown for cover who will play even if he only averages 45 :P

Which McKenzie are you picking ??  Who does he play for ??  Can't find a "D" among defenders.    :-\
