Simmo said he'd continue the run-with role. Shame, if Hutchy was fit then Scoot could be freed up. As is though, I think we'll continue some extreme inconsistency from SSelwood.

To be fair, he still accumulates a lot of ball whilst tagging.

He's far from the worst pick and I definitely think he'll be up around that 100 mark again this year, but I'd probably prefer Steven at a similar price.

Oh sure, when I say inconsistent I mean 120 one week 60 the next. I think an ave of 95 would be fair.

Really think that for 433k and 454k respectively these two can average 100+ over the first 4-6 rounds which is all I would need from them

Scooter has 2 years of 105 averaging playing his normal run with role, so I don't see why he couldn't do it again. He's not like Crowley for example. Scooter runs with his opp and gets the pill himself

Hard to see Selwood coming out and going bang with the injuries he is coming off and as for Masten he took a step up the year before last then a fairly big step down last year it could happen but would not bet on it but it's ok to talk up your team  ;)

2 seasons ago Masten averaged 100 in SC unsubbed. However I have only ever thought of him as a DT player because he can tend to butcher the ball. He hits the scoreboard which also helps his case running through the midfield but I would rather Jack Steven over Masten at the same price.

Selwood did average a couple points under 105 twice in his run with role so 100 would be on the cards even running with someone. He tags like Carrots, he will work off his opponent and win his own ball while shutting the opponent down (although Carrots is better at clamping down on guys). As I said earlier what puts me off Selwood is his lack of running up until around  4 weeks ago? He is extremely tempting at his price considering what he is capable of so as a stepping stone he is ideal

Believe me, being a WCE supporter has nothing to do it. I usually never pick any Eagles because I just don't rate many of them for SC, but just see these guys as POD's that are cheap and I think can improve their SC scoring

The reality is I doubt I will end up going with this approach most likely anyway. Prefer GNR in the mids

Wouldn't the fact that Scooter hasn't done a great deal of running make him less likely to start the reason off as a tagger ??
Haven't got him in my team  ATM  BUT he will be, if my team misses out on selection night. As things stand it is finalized pending Rd.1 selections.          8)

Too much risk man. You would be better off picking one of Neale/Steven at the price.

Hasn't Scooter only been back training for a few weeks anyway? Too many question marks at a very awkward price in the midfield.
