barbies.

New squad. Had a little tinker around and I dont mind how it is sitting at the moment.
All players under 200k are subject to change, so don't even bother talking about them. They're just placeholders.

Defenders: Simpson, Shaw, Hurn, Newnes, Waters, Goddard (Holman, Wigg)
Midfielders: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, JPK, Watson, van Berlo, Heeney, Freeman (Blakely, Steele, McKenzie)
Rucks: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
Forwards: Goddard, Franklin, Swan, Clark, Hogan, Laverde (Knight, Menzel)
Cash Left : $1,800
Solid defence
Mids lacking some Rocky, rest is good
Good rucks
Potentially a tad weak in forwards, but there's good value there as well. Where's Caleb Daniel m8

Yesh I like my defence. It needs to be strong to be in contention this year...
I know... First year in 5 years I won't be starting the Pig....Pretty disappointing really.
Thanks mm888
1 line has to be weak for the rest to be stronger. But I think there is good money generation in the forwards for upgrading. CD will be in the team if named round 1. No bloody doubt about it.

Not a fan of those forwards ;)

Agreed here

A strong midfield, decent defence and Set + forget rucks IMO is enough to mitigate picking only 3 starting mid premo's

I don't mind it. I'd sit on this side for now and have another look after NAB.

FTR he was missing 2 forwards when he made the initial post, hence my comment :P

Holden the ball

Nice Team not sure about walters.

It's a good thing he doesn't have Walters then.

Still think heavy fed line is needed.

There's good value in the forward line though. Whereas in defence (for example), there doesn't seem to really be any rookies (yet), so it makes sense to go stronger there.

Just had a little midnight fool around alone in my bed (Supercoach you dirty boy). And now knowing that Waters is pretty much a 0 chance to play R1 with reoccurring shoulder problems. I think it's time to go to a 4 prem midfield... I'd love to even add Rich in there but I want at least 4 prems in each like and playing covers in my defense. But could change quickly depending on the meta.

Defenders: Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Newnes, Pearce, Whitecross *(McKenzie, Lever)*
Midfielders: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Dangerfield, van Berlo,* Cockatoo, Heeney, Freeman (Dumont, Boekhurst, Steele)*
Rucks: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
Forwards: Goddard, Franklin, LeCras, Swan, *Hogan, Laverde (Daniel, Lamb)*
Cash Left: $4,200

*Place fillers, please ignore these.
B The players i consider as PODS. Subject to change though, don't see myself starting LeCras unless I know he will perform as well as I am hoping he will. Same as Dangerfield, any sign of injury and he will be getting the boot. Cotchin/Hanners would be next in line if he becomes injured.

Money Shot

The three guys in bold are obviously risks and you are aware of that but could pay off.
Yeah I agree it is going to be super hard to start with a 5 premium mid this year although I really want to (at the moment I have 'kind of' found a way)
Pretty solid team and I would love your thoughts on mine :)
