First fiddle after the new opening of Supercoach for the 2015 season.

V1.
Defenders: Smith, Hibberd, Howe, Newnes, Waters, Goddard, (Wigg, Dick)
Midfielders: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Cotchin, Rich, van Berlo, Heeney, Freeman (Dumont, Steele, McKenzie)
Rucks: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
Forwards: Goddard, Franklin, Swan, Walters, Membrey, Clark (Hogan, Laverde)
Cash Left : $11,300

Don't plan on starting spud Cotchin, but if he has a good pre-season I see him averaging over 101. Seems very under-priced for knowing what he is capable of doing.

Howe is an interesting one. I don't know if I would have the balls to pick him and I am not sure where he will line up this year which could impact his scoring.

I would rather Hanners over Cotchspud since they are the same price. I don't mind the team though. I personally wouldn't go with Walters for a couple of reasons, I think the premium forwards are going to average 100+ and I don't think he can score that which makes him too expensive to be a stepping stone.

Also I was looking at this with my first draft, I think if you are going to go with a dud R3 you need someone that can cover both positions. I had Lobb in my side because I think Mummy will get injured so he might actually be a viable option in terms of coverage and it saves me having to play Belcho where I can earn more cash in the forward line with other players.

Yeah I'm a fan of Howe. Most of them I am waiting until NAB cup to see how their roles have changed and if it'll impact their scoring. Yeah Cotch is just a filler, i'd rather Griffen over both, but I'll wait and see.
I like Walters, I he is dirt cheap and should get into the 90s. So once someone like Gray/Martin/Lids drop in price I could trade him to them. As for the ruckmen, I got NicNat and Goldy to play out the whole season. If one gets injured, i'll just trade them. I was unlucky last year with ruckmen, and wasted 4 trades from people getting injured and going down and I still had enough trades left to finish with an alright ranking (Until I left for overseas). Thanks for  the input mate, you picked out all the players I was umming and aarrring about. Wait until NAB cup to see how they perform.

I like Howe as well but I am not certain on him in terms of SC. It will be interesting to see if they swing him back forward if he plays a more rebounding role. If he plays a rebounding role he could be gold as a POD

Understandable with the rucks and the 60k can probably be better spent elsewhere so fair enough there.

Yeah I'm hoping for him to get the rebound role. But Harry O will most likely stop that :( But i'd just get Hurn instead haha. So that spot isn't the big stress for me. It's the Cotchin/Hanners/Griff/Steven for that 4th spot is what i'm more worrying about.

From what I have been reading Harry O has been doing a lot of stoppage work which makes me think Roos intends to use him as a big bodied mid. I think if Frost comes in either Howe or Dunn will play as a rebounding defender as they free up.

I like 3 of those 4 in that spot, I am tossing up with the same thing and I think it will come down to byes.

Defence is good... Nothing wrong. Selwood could be affected by the new scaling thing so I'd probably stay away from him until I see his new output. Cotchin agreed purely placeholder. Griffen around the same price would be a good pick with his early fixture. Rucks are the same as 80% of people, but who cares probably the best combo...!
Buddy like Selwood will suffer state of game scaling.
Basically I'm not willing to touch those guys who significantly changed the outlook of games in 2014 until I see what happens to there scoring because no one is really sure. Not saying you shouldn't it's just a personal thing.

Walters' price is sort of that annoying inbetween price. Not low enough to be a real cash cow. And too risky for premium status if he doesn't score what you want him too.

It's a great team with GOOD risks I'm just pointing them out. It's a well calculated team.

Well to be honest i'd rather have them 1 of them 4 @ M5... but with the lack of cheap defenders I have to sacrifice a mid to get a defender. But it should be fine. Howe might be to go then. Be alright if Newnes and Howe end up top 6 defenders.

Pretty sure Higgins was only 40k-60k cheaper last year. And was much more injury prone and a LOT of people trusted in him  ;) I'm hopefully going to do the same about Walters. If I had the cash generation I'd be picking Zeibell over Walters, but that just isn't the case.

Higgins was 260k... Hence the interest. Walters would only gain 50k-70k with an average of 80-85

If you can i would highly advise forking out the extra 30 and get watson. Otherwise go A Swallow at 500k and use 50k to upgrade elsewhere

kilbluff1985

Lamumba a better pick then Howe imo

It's like a diary, but revolving around milk.
