Define "Decent" players  :P
Better than Cam Valente (Who will be good but there were so many better options)

Okay, now that everyone has either responded to me or on here, time to get things underway :)

The Next 3 posts will be about the scoring systems, and my proposed changes. All these are up for discussion of course and I'd like to see some!!

First Class Shield
(Season 1 Format, parts in red are proposed changes)
1 run = 1 point
Getting out = -10 (Excluding bowlers)
Duck = -10 (Excluding bowlers)
50 runs in one innings = 30 points
100 runs in one innings = 30 points*

1 wicket = 25 points [Up from 20]
Maiden = 2 points
5 wickets in one innings = 30 points
10 wickets in one match = 70 points [Up from 60]

Catch = 10 points
Runout (last player affecting run out) = 20 points
Stumping = 10 points

Changes here are around the bowlers. Right now 10 wickets = 200 runs, and I think teams score more than 200 runs per innings, so this has been adjusted to 25 which is probably a more accurate reflection. Also surprisingly there weren't many 10 wicket matches by players last season, so I've bumped that up to 70 points.

*This used to say 60 points, but I've changed it so it reads 30 now. It isn't a change in the scoring system, just a wording change. When a player reaches 50 runs he gets a 30 point bonus, when he reaches 100 runs he gets another 30 point bonus. Same thing as before, wording changed.

One Day Cup
1 run = 1 point
Duck = -10 (Excluding bowlers)
Every 6 hit = 6 points
50 runs in one innings = 20 points
100 runs in one innings = 50 points
Strike rate of 100-124.99 = 15 points
Strike rate of 125+ = 25 points
(Must score 30 runs to qualify)

1 wicket = 25 points
Maiden = 6 points
3 wickets in one innings = 20 points
5 wickets in one innings = 50 points [No previous bonus for 5WI]
Economy rate of 5.01-6.0 = 15 points [Prevoiusly 4.51]
Economy rate of 5.0 rpo or less = 25 points [Previously 4.50]
(Must bowl 4 overs to qualify)

Catch = 10 points
Stumping = 10 points
Runout (last player affecting run out) = 20 points [Previously 10 points]

Again, changes for the bowlers. There was no 5 wicket haul bonus, now there is. The economy bonus has gone up making it easier to achieve (Some Matador matches will be in Perth this season so should be higher scores too). And lastly runouts are now more valuable.

T20 Trophy
1 run = 1 point
Duck = -20 (Excluding Bowlers)
Strike Rate 150+ = 20 points
Strike Rate 130 to 149.99 = 12 points
(must score 20+ runs for SR bonus)

1 wicket = 20 points
Maiden = 12 points
6 or less rpo = 20 points
6.01 to 8 rpo = 12 points
(must bowl 3 overs for economy bonus)

Catch = 12 points
Stumping = 15 points
Run out (Final player affecting Runout) = 12 points

This was the scoring system used by the BBL Fantasy crew last season. We will be following their scoring system again so if they make changes, so will we.
