JPK v Ward v Barlow v Watson v Murphy v Dangerfield

Which two of the above would you pick?

Excluded combinations due to byes and/or lack of funds are JPK & Ward, JPK & Barlow, JPK & Watson, Ward & Barlow, Barlow & Watson.

Feel free to comment with your reasoning behind your selection.

Easily Ward and Watson for me. They're my M4/5 too

RaisyDaisy

Done :)

I reckon Ward can push 120 and has a nice bye. Jobe is just too good to pass at his price

Cant see Danger or Murphy pushing 115+, prob more 110ish

JPK and Ward is solid, but not an option for you and JPK's bye makes him an upgrade target

Ward and Watson for me as well. RD summed it up well.

Cheers mate. Thanks for the analysis.

M4 and M5 are harder to pick than a broken nose.

Have you considered Sam Mitchell to go with JPK?

15-20pts underpriced and a massive POD

Nah, not considering Mitchell. At 32 years of age I can't see him averaging 110 let alone 115 which is preferable for a midfield premium.

We saw last year that his body is starting to let him down and I think he will be managed this year and miss a few games too.

I have JPK and Danger.

JPK is as solid as they come in SC, doesnt get effected by the tag and has shown he can score despite the midfield Sydney have.

I think Dangerfield is about to reverse the trend of players under scrutiny of leaving the club having a poor year as well. He is gonna come out and smash it.

Like ward, he is up in my calcs as well, but unless I can fit jpk and ward in then I choose JPK first

There's only one player who has averaged 110+ as a 32 year old. He's one of only 6 who did it as a 31 year old too. The Hawks can afford to rest Mitchell and then there's the red vest option too, so that rules him out.

If byes weren't in the picture, would you guys have JPK over the rest?

I'd go Ward and Watson out of your options though!

No question there for me. Ward and Watson just feels solid and safe.

Any combo with Danger and Murph is ruled out for me because you just dont know what they will do.
Could avg 105, could average 115. I dont like uncertainty in the midfield. Theres enough of that on the rest of the field :P

Ward and barlow. easy for me.

Except for the fact that Ward and Barlow isn't an option in the poll as stated in the OP.

With the rest of my team set there is not enough cash to pick both.

You think Watson is more safe than Danger or Murph?

He will be 30 years of age at the start of the season.
He has missed 17 games over the last 4 years.
He has only averaged 112+ once in his career.

Watson is definitely in the mix for me but I wouldn't say he is safer than Danger or Murph.
