the main difference being instead of one team benefiting the whole league does?

So for the weeks not named  the admins do one and the non submitted team can win the game?

This is what Worlds have for the first two offences at least.

Although in that comp actually the team is auto-selected as each coach has to lodge an ordered list of players so if the team is not named the admin runs down that list and takes the first players on it that played to form a proper team. Either that or the last lodged team from the week before is used.

It happened to us in Worlds last season. We lost 2 points which hurt but we still came back and made the finals :)
