Jordan Lewis pushed 110 last year.
Personally can't see him maintaining his average from last year.

Neither can I.
Can't really see anyone from Hawthorn averaging 110. They share the load so well

Pretty much what I was thinking, hence why I haven't got a hawks player ATM

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)
One Melbourne rookie that's pretty cheap and is well worth checking out in the NAB is A Vandenberg  at  $127,900.  Cheers and welcome to FF, hope you enjoy.    ;)

Thanks for the free tip! :)

I feel like rookies will be harder than most years as there are only a few that I can think of off the top of my head that will feature in Round 1 and those being: N. Freeman, C. Daniel (tearing it up at training, Dogs thoroughly impressed), C. Petracca, A. Brayshaw, H. Goddard, N. Cockatoo and B. Boekhorst...but after that...I havent heard much which doesnt bode well for us.

Well, with the NAB Challenge done and dusted, I've basically overhauled my entire team in preparation for Round 1.

Below is a picture of what my team currently looks like, and its safe to say, I'm rather happy with it.

There are some risks, there are some question marks (no Ablett!), but I'm just here to see if I'm totally bonkers or on the path to SC greatness.

Thanks in advance to all who rate this. :)

Thanks to the mod, who merged my threads!

Sadly though, no rates? :(

I have tweaked it overnight as well, based on a friends suggestion, please let me know what you think! :)

Looks good mate!
Defence is a bit weak and that money only seems to have been made up on just the one extra fwd prem. After picking Newnes, Lumumba and Goodes, you'd expect your D2 to be absolute lock of 95+ avg; and not sure if Fisher can deal that. Will be a lot of trading to tidy that up things go sidways. For your sake i hope Goodes, Cripps and Leuy all pay off too.

Very strong team.   Good structure and rookies.    ? Fisher and may need a goodes replacement if not upgraded

Great mids.   Would put in Read for Ruck/Fwd to open up upgrade to Belly or lycett at Byes.  Especially with Luey selected.

Fair points Luigi and Crowls.

I'm backing in Fisher to at least average 90, if not 95+. We all know what he is capable of, but coming back from two seasons of injury is a sizeable risk. Though from all reports, he is training the house down, and looks fitter than ever. This can only be good.

I did have Gibson in there for a long time, but downgraded him in order to upgrade Cockatoo to Cripps. Was this a good idea? I'm still thinking about that one...

As for Read, thats a tact I'm not taking. I did have Belly in since SC opened, but when it come to downgrading Ablett to Boak, I came into some cash and used it to upgrade Belly to Martin, not a bad option. No doubt Ablett will be back, just not straight away.

Thanks for the feedback though!

Fair enough.  Just pointing out that having Read at R3 gives you option of Bell, Lycett and others as trades into Fwd line later if you need to address rucks, or Belly and Lycett fire up.    more trade options and team flexibility for little cost.   Just as valid to leave them out but one thing I have learned in past two years is to appreciate flexibility within the SC team.

Well, this is the team that will hopefully bring the goods! Happy with the end result, but I'll no doubt continue to tinker with it until the end of Round 1....

Would love to hear all thoughts!

Vandenberg & Krakouer may need to be upgraded to high priced rookies. You could even keep Krak for loophole purposes but if Vandeberg isn't named then perhaps Anderson is an option. At least that would maintain your structure which is pretty good.

Only thing I can suggest is Gray --> Bennell and then Pendles --> Ablett. Haven't done the calculations to see if you can do that financially but that is what I would consider. Gotta have GAJ mate.

Monitor the teams tomorrow :)

Vandenberg is a wait and see, and Krakouer is acting as my VC loophole. Have no doubt he'll feature in the team at some point as well.

I really want Ablett, but coming back from serious shoulder surgery, restricted pre-season...its tough to pick any player that gone through that.....but it is Ablett.

If I was going to bring him in there would be some restructuring...

Option A: Pendles (M1) + NicNat (R1) + Belly (R2) + Martin (F3)

Option B: Ablett (M1) + Goldy (R1) + Leuenberger (R2) + Belly (F4)

Which option???  :-\
