Help me out guys, I have locked in Pendles, heppell and GAJ as my midfield premos, with the remaining spot to be filled as per the poll.

If you pick Rocky and swap Gaz for Barlow, what combo could you get then? IMO Rocky is a bigger lock than Gaz in AF

With Dayne Beams, Mitch Robinson coming in and Rich, Redden coming back from injury plus the natural progression of the good young players the Lions have, you don't think that will have an effect on Rocky's scoring?

Well, I think he'll drop slightly, but can't see him dropping that close to Gaz tbh. Remember, Rocky gets a lot of points from tackles as well, and the only reason his tackles would drop is if our mids are getting more of the ball. In which case you may even see an increase in possessions.
Also, when he rests forward now (as no-one can play mids for 100% game time), we'll still have a decent midfield (Beams, Redden, Hanley, etc) to get the ball forward, so could see a couple of extra goals as well.

SC is a different story due to the points cap each game.

Yeah true but his price scares the crap out of me and i think he will drop in value  :o   :-X  will it be enough to justify not starting him ? time will tell i guess. Still long time to change my mind  :)

Yeah I agree he'll drop a bit haha. But like, Gaz is 675k and averaged 15.7ppg less than Rocky. I don't think Rocky will drop that much, so you'll be forking out around 700k or more to bring Rocky in at some point during the season. With rookies being priced so highly, cash generation could be an issue, so it will be very hard to get the cash to bring him in without trading out one of your premiums.

For what it's worth, I have both Rocky and Gaz in my team atm, as I don't wanna be looking for massive amounts of cash to bring them in during the season.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the reply! I think its worth taking a punt on not picking rocky at this stage, His price is astronomical, if he comes out and gets a couple of 90-100 his break even will be massive and price should come down a fair bit, His price will almost certainly not increase! With good reports coming out of Adelaide about Van Berlo, id love to upgrade him to rocky by about round 7? (with a rookie down grade of course) Im just really worried about the lack of premo backman options.

I'm going to take a punt on a lot more smokies than usual this year and keep 100k or so in the bank if I can for when the Rcky upgrade comes along. Starting with Gaz.

Prices change after rd1

I'm predicting Rocky to be 10k cheaper (predicted 120) as soon as rd2
