Jack Newnes or Brodie Smith?

I couldn't split these two in my team so I currently have both. I would be slightly leading towards Smith purely because of his higher ceiling but only just.

But both of whom I do see being must haves by end of the year though.

Westhoff v Lecras

Now with the addition of Ryder, Hoff may see less ruck time and be able to roam around the forward line with more freedom this year, Would look for him to be more consistent this year and even look to bump up his average by a couple of points.

Lecras has the ability to average 90-95 but he has had a lot of injuries over the past 24 months and for that I wouldn't be able to take a risk on him, However if he can stay fit he will look to be a top 8 forward.

Sorry forgot to add that. Would have to go with the Hoff. Not biased just the fact that I can rely on him to play the majority of the season.

Money

Greene + NVB + Z.Jones or Griffen + Ibbotson + Freeman

Its a long on mate so no need for a long explanation

Griffen + Ibbotson + Freeman

I wrote a paragraph on another topic the other day about how I think Griffen is a must have, Ibbotson is a severely underpriced potential premium for what he can perform, whilst Freeman is one of the only rookies and Collingwood capable of playing 5+ games this year as his pace would be vital for the Pies.

Still would have to stick with Newnes, However towards the end of 2013 he started getting more and more midfield time, In the pre season if he looks test for a more midfield central role you would have to think about selecting Geary especially being 100k cheaper then Newnes.

If Geary is set for more midfield time I would have to seriously think about picking him but Newnes gets the nod for me.

Pendles, I think he would enjoy the added extra responsibilities in the midfield now that Beams has gone, This could result in a slight increase in points. Selwood should become an upgrade target, I ran some numbers about Selwood and this has become an interesting stat i learnt about him.

In 2013 he averaged 96 in the first half of the season he then went on to average 116 in the second half
In 2014 he averaged 100 in the first half to the season he then went on to average 112 in the second half.

Start with Pendles and then look at bringing in Selwood later on.

After Greene came back from his suspension he went on to average 116 in his last 8 games however Luke Parker is now entering elite company pushing closer and closer in becoming Sydneys best midfielder.

I would go for Parker only because of his ability to push forward and kick goals. Plus Parker can become one of the games elite players by end of year.

Geez would take a risky man to pick either, Now that Beams, Christensen and Robinson have joined the Lions this could mean less midfield time for Zorko and he may spend more time as a forward. While one man my see less midfield time Elliot would look to get more midfield time.

Wouldn't trust either to improve much on their 2014 average but if I had to pick would have to go with Elliot mainly due to the fact that Brisbane added 3 new guys 2 of which would be capable of pushing Zorko out of the side. If Brisbane can find a way to fit all 4  in the same team together Zorko could be a nice option in the later parts of the season.

There are other options around that price range in which I would look at before these 2.

Agree with Pendles

Cheers mate

Just one more I need to toss up - Parker or Fyfe - Fyfe is more of a SC player but do you think that this season he can transfer those points into AF?
