VanBerlo vs Brayshaw vs Newton.

Pending all get selected, who do you think will average the highest. Have Brayshaw atm, but something is telling me VB.

Brayshaw will average the highest by a comfortable margin. May turn out that type of pick where they smash the season but don't necessarily start round 1. For example Rocky in 2010.

In light of the Collingwood drugs situation: Karny v Freeman

Swallow or Neale
Yep same dilemma, but considering Jack Steven as well.

Jack Steven has just signed a 5 year deal, the club rate him very highly. His ceiling is also significant having hit the 150 mark on three occasions in 2013. In that year he only went sub 80 on 3 occasions and knocked up 13 tons.

Swallow isn't a bad choice but he's showing a clear downward trend - 111, 109, 103 & 93. His performances in the finals were also lack luster with scores of 83, 80 & 61, this isn't a good sign considering North will play plenty of games against top opposition.

For the money and the potential upside it's Steven for me, as a worst case scenario he gets traded out round 12 for Rocky or another premo mid. I see very little risk in selecting him.

wouldnt mind an extra $3k but thats not possible so

hogan + karny vs tarrant + steele

for JS reasons hogan + karny seems the go but i dont like it

Blues Blues Blues

Apologies as I know this has been asked/discussed previously, but I'm keen for people's current views on the following for M5:

Griffen: a former beast of supercoach scoring, can run all day, and is now at a new club with hopefully renewed energy and desire. Appears to be in a few teams that I've seen

Vs

Wines: a potential 'new' young beast of supercoach scoring. Had some good games but also rubbish games too. Has trimmed down to help his fitness, apart from his tree trunk legs which makes him a daunting opponent

Very tough choice, I would probably favour Griffen given he has more runs on the board however Wines has the game which could see him go 110+. I think Griff will be in the 105-110 range, which is good enough for M8.

What do you guys think of the Hawks defenders? Trying to pick between Luke Hodge and Josh Gibson right now for D3.

Both should be benefited by Frawley in the backline, but finding it tough to split them.

I really like Hodge at the moment though, was pretty consistent last year, and if he gets rested in round 23 it won't matter.

Any thoughts?

Dusty because of his higher ceiling.

FactHunt

Griffen M5 + N.Brown D7 (and having to play Adam Saad @ D6)
VS.
Brayshaw M5 + Hurn D3 (but with Goodes @ D6 + Saad @ D7)
