This is why asked before. I really cant split them and the response so far is 1 vote a piece

I'm leaning towards swan as surely he will step it up come season proper but Steven has youth on his side and will want to get back to playing the level of footy  he/we know he can. He could be a awesome value Pod pick if he comes out firing and gets back to his 2013 avg of 110.

Flip a coin or maybe start a poll :P

I think the appeal of Swan is being able to start him in the forward line. Steven at his price is the ideal risk if you aren't starting Gaz. Swan I can't see being a keeper at either position where I think Steven has more upside.

Agree 100%, which is why i'm now trying to fit both in for the Gaz contingency plan if needed.

I would go with option A. I think Gray will drop in cash at some point but the fact you have 70k left over in deal one is what makes me lean that way

Mumford (R1), Heeney (M8) and Geary (D5)

NicNat (R2), Swan (M5) an N Brown (D7)

Option 2

Selwood vs Beams vs Fyfe

I think Selwood is the safest pick, all guns

JPK + Maric Vs Ablett + Bellchambers or Luenburgers.

I'm assuming Ablett is fit and playing R1 but expecting him to drop in price which is when I'd try to get him with an upgraded Wells/Rich.

JPK and Maric

And i was just leaning towards B  ::)
I don't really have anywhere I want to spend that 70k right now, but i guess it would be good to have some sitting there

You are picking guys you would consider as premiums in both of those situations. This is how I would grade each player

Gray - should be a top forward since he has so much midfield time so perfect pick but will likely come at a discount later and could play 22 if his body doesn't revert back to previous years
Nic Nat - his body could be a worry but has the capability to be top 3

BJ - Should be top 6 and will average 100 but will drop in cash due to ASADA if he has no support
Bartel - Has been a consistent scorer but will get rested at some point
Mummy - misses tons of games each year and I think with most teams struggling to ruck coverage this year he isn't the safest pick at his price

Newton Vs Sheed
As much as I want Sheed to succeed (see what I did there!) I would pick Newton by a good margin

Gigantor

Lamb + 60K vs Cockatoo (Pretty much asking do I have Gray at M5 or in the forward line)

Mat0369

I think I would lean towards Lamb and the 60k. I have been considering having both in my team though

blue

I would go lamb, cockatoo playing on the Monday

Cockatoo will play and worst case Darcy Lang is the other guy to look at from the Cats in the midfield. If Lang missed and Cory Gregson is named I would expect Gregson to get the vest and Cockatoo to play a full game

Good point, I put cockatoo a long way in front of Lang. Cockatoo looks more afl ready, Lang to me did not look up to afl tempo, look rushed. Going thru geelongs history of playing rookies and I could be wrong but they tend to give them a few games then put them back to the vfl. The last  geelong 1 st year player that I can think of is selwood, in saying that from what I have seen of cockatoo there is a little of selwood about him

In their premiership year of 2011 Mitch Duncan was in his second season of footy and Christensen in his first. They played 16 and 17 games a piece that year in the regular season although some were vested and they did have that play a couple out for 1 mantra.

With Varcoe gone from the 22 so his spot is available, Christensen was injured a bit but he is no longer there either. That is potentially two spots available although one is likely in green which makes me think there is a chance a young guy gets it. I will look at the Cats 22 now and see if I can come up with a best 22

Mat0369

Bews Lonergan Rivers
Enright Taylor Mackie
Duncan Selwood Jimmy
Johnson Tomahawk Cockatoo
Murdoch Clark Motlop
Simpson Stokes Caddy
Kelly Blicavs Guthrie Stanley (injured I think at the moment)

They might play another tall in there but I think the Stanley position is a vest spot between GHS, Lang, Gregson and Smedts
