Goddard was a great pick in my midfield last year, would love that again in my forward line! I had BJ with Lids & Swan, but have since gone Lids to Martin to save a little cash and hopefully have a safer bet to play 22 games.

Deledio has been one of the most durable players of all time. Everyone is getting spooked about his chances of missing games due to an article mentioning him being sore. In the same article they mentioned that Dusty has a hamstring issue but that seems to go unnoticed. I wouldn't say one is more likely to miss than the other. The more games Martin plays, the closer he gets to one he's going to miss.

100% agree Lids has been amazingly durable. However, you can't compare hamstring soreness to an ongoing issue Lids carried all of last year and will still have to manage this year. I'm thinking either a) he'll be a bit sore at times, but being the durable bloke he is, he'll just be played a bit more forward/out of position which will stop him averaging the midfield numbers (105-110) he's capable of; or b) he has a rest. Unless Martin picks up a new injury, he should see either the same or more midfield time this year, and I can see him pushing 105.

TL;DR Dusty can average the same for $30k less.

That same article said Lids had been carrying the injury for the last couple years and it is one that cause him to miss games last year. The fact it is not going away is a worry

Was confirmed last week that Lids is fine and his issue wont impact him at all. It's just something he has to manage but wont impact his performances

I'm sure it's fine now, but staying fine for 23 weeks in a row is a different story

Could I get Daniel Wells v Josh Kelly?? Obviously a bit tricky as its only Kelly's second year but tossing up between these 2.

Yeo & Titchell

vs.

Hurn & JMartin

Yeo and Titch for sure - J Mart I don't trust - too light and seemingly injury-prone.

Wells vs Kelly

I would go with Josh Kelly (GWS forward). Second year but doing lots right. More game time, less subs should = more points.

Wells a better M5, Kelly a better F4  8)

People putting far to much faith in a lot of second year players...how many do well other than Selwood and Fyfe.
