Higgins vs Scott Thompson

Just looking through some historical data and Thompson averaged nearly 100 2 seasons ago. Any North Fans know if he is still playing the same role as then? Higgins is a risk and i currently have him but didnt notice i could afford Thompson.

Higgins

I like the look of higgins but he is not a proven performer and quite injury prone however i have not watched any of the roos pre-season games.

MIght just hold him and ride the rollercoaster with everyone else.

Can anyone else think that Lumumbas 70ish score is a predicted season ave. I see melb finishing in thw bottom 4 and dont see them einning many games . If he is posting a score of 70 for a win i csnt see him scoring a 100 in a loss.

Higgins is a fraction   cheaper and looks to have a 90 ave this year . In a top 8 side .

Thoughts  please

Both risks but I think I would go with Higgins after last year. The prince is too up and down and has a history at the pies of butchering the ball and is one weird bloke apparently.

Deciding between Josh Gibson and Sean Burgoyne? Any thoughts? I was thinking that with Frawley there Gibson may be released as rebounding defender but is he just as likely to be the third man up and just be spoiling. His scores were very up and down (but can go big) whereas Burgoyne will get more midfield time and is more consistent.

Definitely Gibbo.

Ok thanks for the reply. Your reasoning?

Burgoyne had a spike in scoring last year but typically goes in the low to mid 80's. Not so sure he will back it up this year.

Gibbo went up and down a lot but with Frawley  hopefully Ave 90

Not sure if this is on topic but it is sort of X v Y.

Fyfe today had 15 Kicks, 16 Handballs, 4 Marks, 2 Tackles, 2 Hitouts, 1.1 Score, 15 Contested Posessions, 4 Clearances, 5 Clangers and 64% Disposal Efficiency.

Ends up with 95 DT and 112 SC, turned into 115 SC.

Gray today had 14 Kicks 17 Handballs, 6 Marks, 8 Tackles, 16 Contested Possesions, 9 Clearances, 5 Clangers and 77% Disposal Efficiency.

Ends up with 122 DT and 114 SC, turned into 122 SC.

Problem is, how the hell do they get similar SC scores where Gray is pretty much got him covered in every single department except a goal.

Depends a lot on how they've obtained the ball as well. Also which possessions were more effective, the kicks or the handballs. Unless the analyse every single stat, you can't really say why someone did better than someone else. But at a glance with these stats, one could say:
That extra kick from Fyfe was effective (4 points), and was obtained as a hard-ball get (4.5 points). Those 2 hitouts were to advantage (10 points), 1.1 gives 9 points. Clearances don't get you points in SC I'm pretty sure. 27.5 points.
Then with Gray, that extra handball was effective (1.5) from a handball receive (1.5). Two extra marks were uncontested maintaining possession (4 points), and 24 points for the extra tackles. 31 points.
Difference of 3.5 points. Obviously that's assuming all other stats were equal in points awarded. Not sure how much extra a CP gets you (for Gray).

Just seems like certain players are loved by SC and get bonus points. Cotchin, Ablett and Fyfe are the major 3 imo.

So Lewis and Cockatoo and 34k or Selwood and J Anderson And 9k in the bank?

Leaning towards A as Selwood does have some lean games so have in the past been able to get him cheaper at some point. Also Cockatoo seems to have better job security.

Hey Guys

Struggling with this one at the moment.

Current Midfield is: Fyfe, Selwood, D.Beams, Sidebottom, Ward, N. Jones, Cripps, Vandenberg

Currently have:                Selwood + Bartel + Clark + $13000

Thiking of going either :     J.Anderson/ Cockatoo (Whoever is not sub) + Bartel + Roughead + $162000 (Use the $162000)
next   week to go sidey - Ablett or Pendles)

Currently sitting on 1797 with any of these 3 left

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Really struggling with this one as $162000 is a LOT of cash to sit on the bench however we will see what happens.  Think rough is in for a massive year.

Last mid spot and who to take. Currently have Cocky due to better js.
