This is what my squad is looking like pre NAB games. Just noticed I have 8 2nd year players :o hahahaha, but I see great value in them all and the guys around that price likely to play round 1. Give us your opinion on my selections.

Cheers.

Wouldnt say over the top mate!

Okay backs, not sure McKenzie looks best in that spot! Maybe Seedsman or Ibbotson but still good! Only real problem is probably Steinberg! Don't see him get any games unless you know something I dont!

Can't see many faults in the mids! Solid picks with a nice unique in Parker! I really think you should have one of Rich or NVB, don't think Dom Sheed will do enough to warrant that spot!

Good rucks with the nice bench cover of Kreuzer! Lots of $$$ on the bench so you know where you can trade if you need some!

The first forwards will probably do enough if Lennon and Martin dont perform (which they should)! Wouldnt have Hogan on field though! Still good forward line!

Cheers for the reply and your opinion.

McKenzie showed a lot of promise in his 3rd year with some solid numbers, this is what I'm riding on compared to Ibbo who is incredibly injury prone, and I already have Beau and WhiteX. Also trying to avoid the cookie cutter teams that are posted up everywhere online so trying to avoid Seedsman and Ibbo. On Steinberg he is just filling the void till preseason.

Dom is my pick to burst into the wce side this season, obviously warranting on preseason form if I go forward with him. But so far he is turning heads at training, added on weight, and with Selwood and Hutchings injured there is a midfield opportunity that could be open for him. He was known to accumulate the ball as a junior, so I can see him collecting plenty of the ball on the inside and outside once he gets his opportunity. Plus trying to avoid popular picked players in NVB or Rich.

Yes you can argue I have a lot of money on the ruck bench, but the overall cost of the entire ruck line is relatively on par or cheaper. All of Luey, Kruez and Bellchambers can get injured at any moment, so going with this setup I know I have a replacement with one of these guys to come on field and no drastic trading needs to happen straight away. If it works out and they don't get injured they should all generate cash, and there isn't any rookie priced ruckman looking like playing also so this seemed like the best option for points and cash generation.

Not bad at all mate, I personally rate the Mckenzie pick, at least you know unlike others at his price he is a very good chance of playing out the season, and that he is also on the way up rather than having perhaps past his peak.

Waters could obviously be a massive bargain if he can get on the park, but that is a massive if. It could be worth a shot in AF, but I'm steering well clear. For the same price someone like Seedsman would be a better pick I think.

Not sure about the Sheed pick, I guess though he's not too much more than a rookie, like the mid line otherwise.

You've gone a bit risky with the rucks, with all of their durability in question, though once again I guess this is the format you'd do that in. I'd only want to be starting one of those guys, with a premo set and forget as r1, though I understand that means you have to turn a premo into a mid pricer or a mid pricer into a rook elsewhere.

With martin as f4 your forward line isn't as strong as some I have seen, and if there is a decent defender rook that stands out over NAB you don't yet have, it may be worth sacrificng whitecross or waters to turn martin into a buddy/gray/dusty.

dont mind the mid, fwd, back
but the rucks, oh boy, way too risky for mine, when has any of those played a whole season........
i'd have one ruck set and forget
dont mind the second year grabs, some will blossum for sure
