Looking at locking in my backline right from the start. Don't like any upgrade options here.

Midfield: No Ablett yet. Upgrade option later. Thinking will have a few common players here.

Rucks: Stock standard choice here.

Forwards: Few obvious ones here. Looking at Roughy to be a different pick. Clarke and hogan to build a bank with lambert. Krak just a cheap outside chance to get games.

$11k left over.I have put all my eggs in my backline basket. If fails year over early, if pays off then will score well early.

Happy for some thoughts.

I like the idea in theory but think that the premiums you have selected may back fire.
Malcheski, Simpson, Hibberd, Shaw are the only guys I see being definant keepers and you may be stuck with losing 10 points a game each week with Birchall/Murphy rather than Hibberd/Simpson.

But it's not a bad idea just play around with the picks!

taken some advice. Not sold on Hibberd just yet. replaced roughy for gunstan to free up some cash. backline much more set now.

meow meow

What's your logic behind the Gunston pick? All I see is a player who won't score as well as you'd want a premo to score, and he's not going to make you any coin either.

I like the structure of the team though. It's good to see a team that actually has a chance of being your round 1 team, as opposed to most other teams that are stacked with cheap players who won't even play.

Gunsten is my only concern now.
apart from that its a solid team.

thanks for the feedback. i too am not sold on gunsten, but having an ave of 90 is nothing the sneeze at as a fwd. i have $490k to spend if i take him out. not many standouts at that price. maybe Sam Mitchell

What about Gray into the forward line and Jack Steven into the midfield? I haven't looked at byes but that seems the most logical choice to me

TEAM NAME: The kid can play
DEF: K. Simpson, B. Smith, H. Shaw, J. Newnes, H. Lumumba, J. Lever (N. Brown, H. Goddard)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, J. Selwood, D. Rich, N. van Berlo, J. Anderson, I. Heeney (A. Vandenberg, J. Steele, A. Saad)
RUC: M. Leuenberger, B. Grundy (C. Sinclair)
FWD: R. Gray, L. Franklin, D. Swan, B. Reid, M. Clark, J. Hogan (J. Lonie, K. Lambert)
CASH LEFT: $21,000

I know rucks are not what everyone is doing, but I think if they get 75 each I would be rapt. Money is better spent elsewhere. Backline and Midfield is stacked. Forward line is where my trades will be focusing on and if required ruck upgrades by the bye period.

cuz_crew

hard to fault this team... Lumumba, Lever & Reid are the only dodgy picks

Asparagus

I REALLY like the team man!

I am a pies supporter and have to ask this....Reid???????

pie time

Yeah taking a huge punt. At his price I figure is worth the risk. If he is fit to go could make heaps of money, he just has to play 5 or 6 early games and he will be upgraded.

Mark

Yeah agree with others about Reid...not sure about him

And think Gray will drop $20-30k within the first 6 games so that's when im getting him.

Could downgrade him to someone like Bartel or even Dusty and pocket some $$ for upgrades later on.

But that's just my opinion, Best of Luck mate

hawkboy80

nice to see something a bit different, good luck with the rucks and you will be giggling
