If he's your biggest problem and you have the cash, upgrade him. There are no downgrade targets in the DEF line and since everyone has him you're not really losing out by that much

Newnes is driving me crazy!!!!

Was thinking of either going Newnes > Whitecross/Kelly and Lumumba > Smith

He also got touched up badly by Murph. To be honest I was surprised Geary or Curren didn't get the job because they have had tagging roles in the past.

I just can't trust defenders.  I am keeping him and going to upgrade my mids and forwards first.  If he doesn't improve by the byes I will trade him out over a bye round.  We will know by then who are the top 6 defenders.

My top scoring premium defender this week was Simmo with a 72.....

Look, if you have no other concerns in your side, great, trade him out! But a defender averaging over 70 and playing every week is the least of most people's problems.

Non-performing/missing/injured(?) rookies have to go this week, Lambert, Lamb, Anderson, Heeney(?), Goodes etc for all thos who have them, which is plenty. A few decent bubble boys this week.

Then there are the injured and even more underperforming-than-Newnes premiums, such as Griffen, plus guys who have needed to trade Ablett/Sidey/Rockliff/Bartel etc.

It's not that people don't WANT to get rid of Newnes, it's just that they have bigger issues. When Newnes becomes my biggest issue, out he goes!

Im just keeping him throughout. Wasted too many trades with the Ablett and Goodes debacles. Newnes getting 70-80 isnt too bad for someone at his price and if he can mix a few 100's with the occasional 60's then I am happy. May look to upgrade if I have luxury trades come finals.

Agree.  Would rather get my mids right first before I move to defenders.  I want to milk my cows and get prem mids ASAP.
