Think i have other issues but if he goes early from my team it will have to be for somebody that is a cert for top 6-8 backmen that i don't have and i don't have alot at the minute haha sob sob, thats the only way i'll move him on. That's been made tougher with early injury trades forced on me, can i use another for this im not sure.

The thing with Newnes performance today is he was tagging with Weller out of the side. The fact that he got smashed by Murphy might mean that Curren or Geary do that role in the future. It is disappointing because he was around the ball a lot but he was trying to just stop Murph from getting the ball and failing terribly. Taggers generally don't score well so I am taking this performance with a grain of salt but it is looking likely that he will be gone in the next few weeks.

Newnes tagged Murphy today because Weller was out, Alan Richardson apologised to members admitting that getting Newnes to tag was a mistake, Trade him if you want but he will average 85+

I really hope people keep trading him out.
He has increase his average disposals by 2-3 per game. His points haven't increases as he is only going 65% DE compared to 75% DE last year.

How many taggers score well? Normally their objective is to stop their opponent from winning the ball (which he failed at). Carrots was the last guy that put up big numbers playing a run with role, it appears to be a 1 off but it is f'ing annoying when it kills his score because he is chasing Murph around instead of the ball

There are currently 4 good rookie priced guys to bring in, and a couple of premos in other positions that I want. Once the majority of my team is done and I know where Newnes sits in comparison to the top defenders, I'll consider trading him.

Most of the early bolters so far bolted early last year and didn't end up in the top 8.

Most of last years Top 8 haven't been worth jumping on.

I don't see any must have defenders yet.

Downgrading in D to upgrade in M might be the a viable choice though.
