Far too many are concerned with a 3 game average. Kade Simpson started last year with an average of 84, averaged 95 for the year.
Malceski averaged 88 over the first 3 games, averaged 105 for the year. Its such a small sample size. You picked Newnes as a keeper, give him a chance. He doesn't have to average 90+ to be a keeper this year

Cant really compare Newnes to Simpson and Eski who have proven years of premo

Newnes is not a premo - he is just a touted break out - nothing more
Showing the inconsistencies of a proven premo just backed what I was saying. Its been 3 games.... We picked Newnes as a keeper, give him a chance
Yeah trades are gold and I was going to trade him for Fisher/Mcdonald but think its too sideways. Will be holding him for now. If the Bont misses again, will get Krak and upgrade TBC next week.

I think putting Bontempelli and Newnes in the same "hype" category is absolutely foolish. One has potential to be fantasy relevant  (newnes) and one has the potential to be an out an out star whilst also being great for fantasy (the Bont). Looking at statistics and his weight gain over the preseason I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bont go 100+ this season.

In saying all this, I have Newnes and don't think it's panic stations. He is doing almost what I bought him to do and hopefully he'll come good

It's easy to say ''i knew all along that player would only score what he is averaging now'' harder to make the over-hyped call on the back of 140+/125+ games like the Bont but i made it, time will tell whether he turns into a great pick or not, looking at missing this week again wouldnt be the ideal start for those who brought him in...and the Bont might be good but how many games has he played and you're calling 100+ ave and me foolish? gg sir gg.

+1 I'm also not sold mate

DoctorRush

I wish rage trades were available during matches.
I'd love to rage trade this kid out. He's now "tagging" Gibbs. And by "tagging" I mean running around 5 metres away from him.

Cotch-9

He is gone this week  >:( >:(

Mark

TRADE TRADE TRADE.... but would be a waste so ill prob hold  >:( and cry about his score again next week

Newnes is not a premo. He was touted as a breakout possibility, and it's just not happening

Yeah he "might" be able to average 85ish come seasons end, but the longer owners keep sitting tight and hoping, the further back you fall

If I was a Newnes owner I would be trading him ASAP. Just do it and move on :)

85 is fine for a defender this year mate

It is. But 85 is looking extremely optimistic for Newnes

Why continue to put up his scores each week, hoping every week that he will get a decent score, when you can just say "you know what, this wasn't a good pick" and trade him

Is a long way off even averaging 85, couldn't be happier with my decision to punt him to from my side, complete an utter spud.

Ringo

He is goneski this week if I do not get more injuries, Newness to Hodge may be risky but with Hodge you know what you get just need to ensure I have coverage for when he is rested

Mondoftw

Great now he's  tagging! Has he tagged in any other games this year?

His 3 game average is 77. Its not that far off. And he has another half to go in this game currently
Far too many people are reactive on here based on 2-3 games. Reassess in a couple of weeks

How many of those cards can we play in a year?!
