Ahaha.

I'm upgrading him to Smith..hoping he's a late withdrawal so his price doesn't go up.

Frustrating for sure.. but geez he can find the pill.. just needs to tidy up his disposal big time..

He lacks awareness and composure, you can't teach that. Guys like this will struggle their whole career, he's good for an 80 average but that's about it.
completely disagree. He's been thrown higher up the ground where the footy isn't always in front of him. composure in traffic will come with more time in that role. before this year he was rated as an elite kick,  you dont lose that completely over night. He'll be fine

Who rated him an elite kick? Never heard this before. Kicking straight into the man on the mark (twice) and kicking straight to a forward 20 metres out is far from elite, but it's also his tendency to get the ball and kick blindly without summing up the situation. Mitch Robertson is of this ilk and he failed to bust out of the 80's as far as supercoach is concerned. The best case scenario for Newnes is that he averages 85, still not good enough to be a keeper. If Brodie Smith doesn't play and remains on 500k people would be mad not to trade him in, Newnes is all hype no substance.

Really never heard it? Its one of his biggest attributes. It was a wet game and they got destroyed. 85 from him is a keeper this year and people should hold

Probably because I've stubbornly held onto players who have stunk it up in the few rounds and then had to live with that decision for half a season. Live and learn I guess.

But snide remarks aside, keep him for all I care, if you think he's a top 6 defender then good luck to you.

I definitely went with the hype, not great results so far, but not disastrous. I won't be trading him just yet, would rather get rid of Goodes first.

He's part of the 22 game club. There will be a trainwreck week later in the year when people regret rage trading these guys.

Grufflez

I just don't like the way he plays, always standing around the pack not getting the ball or laying tackles so not winning his own ball enough combined with garbage DE % means at some point i will be looking to upgrade to a true premo but i cant afford luxury trades just yet. Him and Steven both...the clangers are f***ing killing me.

Imagine if Steven kicked 3 goals 1 instead of 1 goal 3?  :(

Probably Goodes > Smith and Newnes > Smith two most popular trades next week.
As much as I am frustrated with the bloke will be hanging in there a bit longer.    Goodes and KK need attention.   Anybody know if KK is playing up the ground or tagging cause his scores are not reflective of a mid

look if you are contemplating playing oxley ahead of this guy next week, i dont see the point in having 400K sitting on your bench, but i might just hold him for 1 more week and see if byrne and whitex look like worth downgrading.

Using rolling donut to pluck the good scores between KMac and Oxley looks the go to me.
