Newnes is not a premo. He was touted as a breakout possibility, and it's just not happening

Yeah he "might" be able to average 85ish come seasons end, but the longer owners keep sitting tight and hoping, the further back you fall

If I was a Newnes owner I would be trading him ASAP. Just do it and move on :)
85 is fine for a defender this year mate

It is. But 85 is looking extremely optimistic for Newnes

Why continue to put up his scores each week, hoping every week that he will get a decent score, when you can just say "you know what, this wasn't a good pick" and trade him
His 3 game average is 77. Its not that far off. And he has another half to go in this game currently
Far too many people are reactive on here based on 2-3 games. Reassess in a couple of weeks
I traded Buddy out last year after he averaged 70 over the first 6 games....I'm holding unless he doesn't move this quarter. 31 @ HT could easily become 80. People need to realise trades shouldn't be wasted so easily unless it could come at a 30+ point average differential. I'm considering Griff->Sloane/Fyfe, both of these lads have a good chance of 120 now and Griff is 50/50 for 100 in all honesty.

Totally agree.  And I wouldn't be surprised if a vast majority of those same people (not all but most) are the same ones complaining about their 'bad luck' come the back end of the season due to not having trades to cover injuries/poor form.

77 for 435k is poor. I understand the argument of keeping him, and hopefully for Newnes owners he does score better and repay the faith. I just think I would be more comfortable being patient and holding onto a proven premo who was struggling, as opposed to a breakout contender who might not breakout

Either way, I'm glad I didn't buy into the hype and pick him

How many of those cards can we play in a year?!

30!

Doggoneit

He is not my worst at this stage

at 77 average he is only 13 points behind the 90 I am looking for at D6

Griffen at 88 is 22+ under what I want for a M8

but happy to wait another 2 or 3 weeks to re-asses - plenty of premiums who are dropping in price (Gray, JPK, Rocky etc)

Slashers

He is officially giving me the showers. Especially when he has kept Oxley on the pine for the past 3 weeks!!
ARGHHH

Grufflez

Where are people getting 77 from/ my SC gold says 60.. is that before scaling?

I see what you're saying but can't really make that comparison. Newnes doesn't have Buddy's history of scoring.

HotTiges

Gone next round unless injuries strike..

Goosey

More to the point, I think he was tagging today. If that continues his place in my team won't.

Grufflez

Yeah i have decided Newnes out i'll carry Lumumba...quite frankly Newnes can get flowered!

RaisyDaisy

69, 90, 72, 60 for an average of 72.75

Only 1 decent score from 4

He isn't a premium and he isn't proven

Seriously, just cut your losses and move on
