Holden the ball

Not sure with him now he was just cold from the get go

GCSkiwi

Sincere question, though I'm going to just sound like a dick, what were you expecting? What was your minimum benchmark to not ask this question after one game?

_wato

Keep him mate. Had 5 FA and had he not had those he would've scored 80 in a game where he didn't play his best.

Keep at least for this week, they play GC. Don't jump ship yet.

I know I'll be keeping him past this week unless something tragic happens. He'll be a top 15 defender and should average 85+ dunno what else you were expecting from him ahahah

batt

He's still this year's Swallow.  Just on a slightly less successful team.

Bully

He's on notice but I'm having a bit of buyers remorse, particularly given I sacrificed Houli to accomodate him. One week to prove himself, anything under 80 and it's seeya later.

_wato

Some people are so quick to jump off, I'm actually very very surprised hahaha

2 weeks is plenty, having watched the game I honestly couldn't work out what all the fuss was about, talk of another Swallow was well off the mark. Even despite the free kicks he looked a bit ho hum, Geary was far more impressive, Savage another who pricked my interest. I can see my two corrective trades this year will be used to sort out my defence, not happy with any of my supposed 'premos'.

Yeah if it wasn't for those 5 frees against, he scores 90. I highly doubt he'll be giving away that many free kicks every week.

honza

Newnes had a breakout season last year - and in 6/22 games scored worse than what he got round 1.

He's a mid pricer. Mid pricers have ups and downs.

AaronKirk

He has the ability to be a premo, still IMO will become a 90+ player and if not for the FA's as Dave mentioned he would have scored 90.

Madness to trade him yet.

Ringo

Go on and rage trade him out after one game but do not come back here and complain when he averages 90+.

As GL has also pointed 5 f/a really hurt and say if that had been only 2 he would have exceeded 80 which I would take at this stage of the season.

Hold for the moment. Trade if he goes under 80 again IF there are no other more pressing areas in your side.

_wato

The only downside I can see, and I'm with Ringo and the all the others in against trading him, but he seems to be playing a high half forward/wing role instead of an inside mid/loose defender role which is what we all though he would play, and hence playing that role could hampen his scores.
