dammit, you got me excited, I thought that it was open for us commoners :(

liking those def choices, but how much will Smith be hampered by a new coach / the return of rhendo
i assume seeds moves onto the field ;) - and you've got hundreds of other options in place of him (but if you're happy, then it's your choice)

some unique choices in the midfield, but Sidey could well improve (and should alongside Greenwood and others in the midfield)
Ward really depends on how gets that tag (I think you think it'll be Griff)
Newton could be interesting, a new change of clubs might do him some good

Cox as R3 is risky imo, you've got literally no cover - maybe switch to Nankervis (especially because I think you'll be moving Lycett into there as soon as one of them gets injured anyway)

fairly vanilla forward line other than your premos (so F4 to F8 will be in most sides imo)
personally think you're missing a trick to go with Buddy over DSmith/Lids/Swan (particularly Lids and Swan - even Buddy's best was only a 102 average)
Lycett you could switch to Belly for the cash, but (as it is with Seeds, entirely your choice) - I'd go with Lycett personally, but mass-changes could force your hand here
Ziebell's another risky one, he's FAR too inconsistent for my liking, but could be a great pick if he lifts his floor - he is underpriced though, so maybe you're only planning him as a stepping stone? (Robbo, Motlop or Titchell could all be better shouts if they have a good preseason - or even Daisy or Tadams)

as you've said, rooks are placeholders (pending nab and rd1 selection) so I haven't commented on those

LF

Thanks pommy :)
I don't like Bellchambers so have gone Lycett as I think he will be the better pick and more likely a keeper than Bellchambers.
The only one I would consider atm from that list of forwards is Titch,Lids or Smith.Robbo imo will play an unfriendly fantasy role at Brissie so won't be going near him until I see how he is used.Motlop is another wait and see.Swan is an upgrade target at this point.
Seedsman is a place holder atm as I have a couple of other defenders I have my eye on but am waiting to see a few things first.
Yeah I am thinking Griff gets tagged over Ward but I have a couple of other mids I am looking at for his spot, his bye round is kind of nice as well.
and in regards to Cox in the rucks I have someone in mind for that spot if needed but again it's a wait and see thing.

No Luv for BJ LF?

He could come in yet it's only my first attempt team so it will likely change a bit I do have some locks that are going nowhere tho.

Nice looking set up LF. Not considering a B/C dpp on C bench yet?

such as?
Maynard, Dick and Clancee are the ONLY guys I can see under 300k that'll get games this season
and even then, it probably will be the odd appearance - certainly not worth a bench spot
so watch them go out and pump 100s in NAB now I've said that

and I can understand your justification above (just though I'd provide a 2nd opinion)
with Lycett vs Belly - I can't really see Belly being any more than F7 or R3, whereas Lycett could pinch F6 or R2 (I'd rather have Lycett, but the extra 100k speaks to me)

Updated team $9200 left

Barra13

How many baked beans left?

Like the premo picks, some nice ones in there without being too different just for the sake of it. I'm actually worried about picking any bombers players this year with the overhang of the saga. You never know how it could pan out.

Membrey and Yeo are an interesting choices unless I have missed something on them?

No Swan?

Hagebear

Not bad LF. As Barra said some nice premo picks.

Not entirely sold on Birchall this year. Starting to become more trouble then he's worth although I think will be pretty unique this year. Like Yeo, think there's potential there to breakout. Don't think he'll go 90+ but hoping for an 80-85 average. And doesn't look like El'Beau will get up for round 1.

Midfield is your strongest line. Really good premos. Will Biggs average more then Rich?? And maybe Newton into Vandenberg?

Risky rucks with no real cover and now Kruezer is gone might need to reassess there.

Forward line is good, but...... No Swan?? BIG risk to go without him.

LF

So have taken Gazza out and made a few other changes since last team
Rooks are all obviously place holders as are players like Karnezis until we know who is playing round 1
$94,900 left in the bank

Thoughts behind behwick ? Other better options I reckon... Other that that looks good! Strong mids!
