Alize Cornet will win the female singles title. Heard it here first. ;)

maybe if she skips the Australian open and plays some satellite tournament. Even than she isn't a shoe in.
She's playing well

she is decent, but not close to the top players.

like every year I think it's Ana's time. however this year it actually doesnt sound too crazy. Playing like a top 10 player regularly and just looks a tiny bit behind the likes of sharapova and serena.

Aus Open draw is out.

TL;DR - Aussies actually have a pretty good draw for once and most should make the second round. 8)

As far as Aussies go:

Lleyton has Ze Zhang
John Millman (I have no flowering idea who he is) has 26th seed Leonardo Mayer
Bernard has Tobias Kamke
Sam Groth has Filip Krajinovic
Thanasi has 11th seed Ernests Gulbis (Groth and Thanasi will play each other if they win)
James Duckworth has Blaz Kavcic
Luke Saville has a qualifier TBD
Marinko Matosevic also has a qualifier TBD
Jordan Thompson has Joao Sousa
Nick Kyrgios has Federico Delbonis

Olivia Rogowska has Nicole Gibbs
Casey Dellacqua has Yvonne Meusburger
Sam Choker Stosur has Monica Niculescu
Ajla Tomljanovic (who?) has Shelby Rogers
Storm Sanders has Klara Koukalova
Jarmila Gajdosova has Alexandra Dulgheru
Daria Gavrilova (who?) has Kiki Bertens
Arina Rodionova has Monica Puig

Oh and Genie should get through too.  ;D

Of course the draw comes out JUST AFTER I leave to the TAB to go put my bets on :P I thought it came out on Saturday or something, and I'm busy all weekend and can't get there over the weekend, so went today

As far as Aussies go:

Lleyton has Ze Zhang Win
John Millman (I have no flowering idea who he is) has 26th seed Leonardo Mayer Toughie but if he plays like he did at Brissy against Fed should win
Bernard has Tobias Kamke Id say 60/40 Bernard's way
Sam Groth has Filip Krajinovic 50/50, Krajinovic looked good at Kooyomg
Thanasi has 11th seed Ernests Gulbis (Groth and Thanasi will play each other if they win) Needs a fair bit of luck TBH, Massive upset if he wins
James Duckworth has Blaz Kavcic Lost in 5 last year where they played in the early rounds here at the Open, expect him to take this one out.
Luke Saville has a qualifier TBD Who cares, he's supposedly "injured" so why did he get a Wildcard?
Marinko Matosevic also has a qualifier TBD Should win
Jordan Thompson has Joao Sousa Has a serious shot against a bit of a Claycourter
Nick Kyrgios has Federico Delbonis See above although you'd expect him to win bar his injury concerns

Olivia Rogowska has Nicole Gibbs
Casey Dellacqua has Yvonne Meusburger
Sam Choker Stosur has Monica Niculescu
Ajla Tomljanovic (who?) has Shelby Rogers
Storm Sanders has Klara Koukalova
Jarmila Gajdosova has Alexandra Dulgheru
Daria Gavrilova (who?) has Kiki Bertens
Arina Rodionova has Monica Puig

I did the men's predictions but not much info about the women's due to it often being quite random.
Gavrilova and Tomljanovic are foreigners who came to Australia recently, and now supposedly represent Aus in grand slams. Gavrilova is also Savilles girlfriend.

R.Griffen

Savile played in Adelaide but didn't play too well coming back from injury, I'd say he could beat the qualifier if it's an easy game giving him Nadal which of anyone saw his games in Adelaide it might be a clean sweet for Rafa. So sad I grew up in the same region and had a hot with him every now and then but injury has set him back a long way

PowerBug

"Should" win, for Matosevic. Has he won a Grand Slam match yet? Wasn't he like 0-12 or something.

Tomic, Kyrgios Duckworth, Savile, Thompson will be the only men going through for me

R.Griffen

Don't ask me about the women couldn't find a win for hardly any of them Casey and Sam are that up and down while the others I think are underdogs and history says it won't turn out well

Who knows I thought not since he has been long forgotten so if he puts in a poor performance i don't think we will hear much about it. Lleyton's days are over he battled and battled just so Australis had someone to watch and now Kyrgios and crew are coming through he will let it be there team
