Who will be better value dollar to point ratio MM,    Bont    or    McCrae   ??   ??       ???

Bontempelli easily. Macrae will most likely go backwards this year, Bont could do anything. Don't listen to these fools who think he only had one fluke kick for the year, he is a gun.

I was one of the people who said he was over-rated, and I stand by that BUT I just think he was over-rated based on a few highlight moments, but don't get me wrong, he will be a superstar for sure, but I wouldn't pick him this year

The dude took 5 games (one sub) to find his feet at AFL level and from then on he averaged 93.5. He wins enough contested possessions, he is a goal kicker, he has a long left boot and his rebound/inside 50's are already high. He even gets 3rd man up hit outs, so he'll be getting +5 instead of +1 for those since they're usually effective.

Don't pick him, just as you didn't pick Macrae this year! He'll make what Macrae did look like 2nd year blues in comparison.

Think you're clutching a little if you think he will average the 100+ that Macrae did.

Macrae is a midfielder, Bont is a forward. If i wasnt against midpricers I would have bont in my squad right now.

I think meow is saying bont will go closer to being a super premo forward than macrae was a super premo mid.

Nah, I'm saying Macrae averaged 100, Bont will be closer to 200. He'll probably be the best player in the league and should win the brownlow but he'll most likely be robbed of that.

Hi again double "M".  One more small question.  Am deciding, pre NAB, on my F.5  position. It's out of Bont, who I like, and Swan, who is going in to the season with another interrupted pre-season. Guess I'm the only one on this site who thinks that Swan is a bit suss but have decided to risk not having him unless he shows something in the NAB. Which way would you honestly go ?? My proposed starting forward line is:-
Gray,  Deledio,  Ryder,  Bennell,  Bont,  M Clark   //   J Hogan,   C Salem     Ryder is there coz of the R/D factor and in a perfect world would either be one of the top 6 forwards or the R/F  reserve.  Bennell scored a 196 in his 1st season and I think this may be his real breakout season and all the rest are pretty standard. So which way double "M"  and anyone else, serious about a Swan decline. Cheers.      :) ;)

Don't ask me man, all I do is talk shower!

Haha seriously though, Swan over Bont every day of the week. Ditch Bennell, he's too injury prone. Not sure if Paddy can score so well in a ruck duo. Maybe go with a Swan and Bellchambers combo and use the extra money to turn Bennell into Goddard, Buddy or Boomer.
Gray, Lids, Goddard, Swan, Belly, Clark if you're going with that kind of structure. Safe and boring but effective.

Thanks  "MM"  Have Swanned the Bont. But keeping Bennell to see if he plays NAB.   Ryder is a very, very strong gut hunch (plus he'll be suited by the positive tap out to advantage points) so will keep him ATM.  Still have the cash to get any other fwd. Cheers personcat.    ;)

I believe with guys like Gray, Lids, Franklin, Goddard, Martin, Swan and even players like Bennell and Ziebell I don't see the point in picking guys that 'could' go big In the forward line as they will probably not be as good as them anyways so really you are wasting a trade.

This is why I haven't (and wont) look at Bont this year.

He is going to be a gun but give him a few more years.

So after reading all these comments....

...I still can't get my head around a Mummy NicNat combo with NO COVER! That's without a doubt the most injury-prone premium ruck pair their is.

Oh, and Titchell for a mid-priced forward.
