Profile

Ryder might be considered the final piece of the Port Adelaide premiership puzzle but is he a good fit for your fantasy team? The consensus is that he'll be used more as a forward/ruck and there are pros and cons in that situation. There's a good chance he could increase his goal tally next season but at the same time his hitout average could dip now that he's competing with Lobbe. He'll also have Schulz and Westhoff as tall targets that will be demanding the ball in the forward line. A change in scenery may do him good but there appears to be too many question marks to start him with confidence. Some coaches might argue that his value comes from having a DPP link with the rucks but I'm not sure that's a good enough reason to pick him.

Pros - Could increase goal kicking, new club might spark him

Cons - Decreased hitouts

Prediction - 85-88

pommyadam

will be the 3rd forward (after Schulz and Westhoff) and the 2nd ruckman (after Lobbe)
if he falls enough, then he could be a reasonable downgrade when Leuey/Krooz top out around the byes, which would make him a decent R3

no from me, but monitoring performances for potential downgrade (think 70s are coming)

as for a DPP link, Belly and Lycett are 2 options that I'm monitoring (that I'm comfortable playing as F4/F5, and will be swung into the rucks as replacement for Krooz/Leuey in case of early injury)

ADEZ

I think he'll still float in the 80's, he is not behind Hoff by any means as a forward target, this just let's the Hoff roam more and he will not be tied down and needed upfront...could be a good option later in the year but Belly and Lycett and better starting options...still in no way keen on Belly though
