Much debated topic thus far has been the ruck cover forward link.

Just wanting everyones opinions on the averages and their  value for money

Ryder
Lycett
Hale
Gawn
Belly
Sinclair

Ryder - $543,400 101.1 avg

Such an awkward pick. Not good enough for R1 for R2 but could be worthy of F6 comes seasons end simply because he has DPP and can provide cover. Lobbe is the unknown quantity here and could impact his scoring. If you don't want Bellchambers, but want DPP is he worth selecting instead of Deledio. Goddard, Boomer, Buddy etc?

Pass for me

Lycett - $418,400 77.8 avg

I think he is a near lock to average somewhere in the 90's, but again that's not keeper status for R1, R2 or a spot in the forward line. If you're low on trades and have him then he should be good enough, but you will be behind teams with better players. Should make about 100k in price and provide DPP. Basically you're paying 100k more than Belly for probably about 10-15 points more per week on average, although it could be smaller if Bellchambers grabs the number 1 ruck spot and runs with it

Very close, but Pass for me

Hale - $392,700 73 avg

Cant really see any upside in big Haley now

Pass for me

Gawn $339,800 63.2 avg

Has shown glimpses from time to time, but surely we cant trust his body? I'd easily bank the 40k and get Belcho over him

Bellchambers $302,500 56.3 avg

The pick of the bunch in my eyes, and many others too. Has shown that he can average mid 80's in the 2 seasons prior to 2014, and that was with Ryder in the team. With no Ryder now he will be given first crack to own the Number 1 ruck spot, and lets not forget he is priced at a 56 average, so even if he only goes on to average 80 he will still make us as much money as a rookie will, but he will score better than a rookie and has then JS to boot. I see no reason why a 90 average isn't possible too

Yes for me

Sinclair $267,400 49.8 avg

Can easily increase his average and make some serious coin, but it all comes down to his JS and right now Lycett is clearly ahead

Pass for now, but keep an eye on

Great summary there RD, i'm not going to muck around with DPP in the rucks this year. I'll be choosing 2 set and forget types such as Goldy.

Still no love anywhere for Blicavs?. Has DPP. Just no point being a R/C but he is eligible for consideration.  :)

Giles could very well be the number one ruck at the Dons with Blecho resting forward. He wouldn't have left GWS to go somewhere and play in the reserves

Agree, nige, Belly/Giles combo, could very well be a masterstroke. Ryder was far too neurotic, anyway, but good luck to him.

To get the link it's also taking up the forward spot which there is soo many cheap forwards or mid priced I just wouldn't pick guys like Sinclair and Belly. The guns that have DPP aren't worth it in my mind with BJ, Swanny and Lids
