Don't know what you consider cheap forwards, but since you said F4 here are the best (or high risk/high reward) options for under 300k (not counting people who haven't played a game) in my opinion...

Claye Beams - avg 60 unsubbed, so a little underpriced. Can see him pushing an 80 avg this year.
Troy Menzel - extremely talented player as we all know. See him drop the vest this year and push his average close to the 80 mark.
Mason Wood - probably not worth considering, but been dominating the VFL for a few years. Just needs to be given game time by the Roos to show what he can do.
Colin Sylvia - who knows what he will do this year. Certainly isn't a sub 40 player when he is in form. Depends if he changes his approach to training I guess.
Tim Membrey - DT average of 93 in the NEAFL in a dominant Swans side. Don't know how he will go in a struggling Saints side, but is cheap and should get games...

The scary thing about Sylvia is if he managed to get in to the side he still has his annual brain explosion on top of all that.

Yeah there's every chance that's exactly what I'll do, but if I do decide to go with the 3 prem setup and need to get 1 or 2 of these guys because theres only 1 or 2 rookies that get named, then who would you suggest?

I'm not sure where Staker is at, but if he is fit and lines up rd1 I really think he represents value
I'd stay well away from Staker.

I agree billings should go well ... But I think there is another player for under 330k that should be getting talked about more that will go bigger than what billings does

There's a couple of potential breakouts there. Who are you referring to?

Kayne Turner looks good, but there are plenty of others I think can improve

Jack Martin, and even guys like Daniher, Menzel, Broomhead, Sinclair if he gets games etc

I have been all over Tom Mitchell this pre season and fully thought I would start him at f4

But now I look at it I can see jack Martin possibly averaging the same as him for 100k cheaper and he has better job security

you're crazy Mitchell could average around 100 no way Martin will go 90+

Martin = Tambling II
Wash you mouth out mate Tambling was 10 times the player Martin will ever be.

I am not going to risk jack Martin in my side ... But think he can breakout ... If you blokes believe he is hopeless go play chess because you gave zero idea about football

Karnezis is not in the pies best 22... Varcoe coming over ruined that for him

He's not in their best 30. If you can't run, you can't play and PK can only beat the rucks in time trials.

Rucks generally do well in TT's... lol? He still sucks either way. so yeah

Grundy last, Cox 2nd last, then Dwyer and PK. Scharenberg beat them.

Yet Dwyer is in the best 22... NAB will tell a lot more, Pies have about 8 players fighting for last 2-3 spots.

Have Jmart in my team but may switch to Daisy or just downgrade to a rookie. Not sure if I have the balls to start him

are cheap forwards like boyd petracca b.reid kersten salem blease membrey clark saad jack hogan karnezis worth more of a look at F4.

Obviously most will be picking hogan and clark.

OP could've ended there...4 pages of nothingness follows.
Hogan and Clark are the cheap options to have plus rookies.
End thread.  8)
PS ...Membrey is on watch
