Profile

Steele has been a member of the GWS Academy since the age of 13 and now gets his opportunity in the senior team. He missed out on being drafted in 2013, partly due to a dislocated kneecap that affected his season but his 2014 performances were enough to see him picked up in the second round. After a few indifferent games early in the season, it was like a switch was flicked. He was exceptional in the Champs, earning All Australian selection while averaging 21 disposals, 5.7 marks and 2 goals. His DT scores for the carnival were 143, 65 and 79. Upon returning to the NEAFL (where he split his time between Belconnen and GWS during the year), Steele had 2 massive games that suggested he could have some fantasy potential in the future. His strong Combine results and the fact he is familiar with the playing group and a year older than other draftees further add to his appeal. There's a long way to go before Jack gets a game and at 227k he isn't exactly cheap but he's worth keeping an eye on.

Put up his TAC cup scores, his game against the Cannons is moderately impressive.

Mr.Craig

Dammit, I knew I was missing something. Those TAC stats are the reason I wanted to do the profile in the first place. ::)

Looks like one of the draftees that could really impress this year, will be interesting to see how he fits in to the GWS lineup with all their young guns. Definitely on the watchlist!
