Round 3:

"Of #$%^ this, I'm downgrading Waters to that obvious rookie that I should've picked and taking the $160k"

Who's the obvious rookie? Imo there's not many dependable looking rookies at this stage, in terms of those likely to get game time, let alone how they score. I think it will be much like last year, lots of pickups in the low 200k range, if you're banking on a bunch of 117-123k players then good luck to you. Waters if his body stays right could possibly be a keeper (though unlikely), absolutely worth the risk if you ask me.

I think he was more insinuating that Waters would get injured and you'd have to trade him out. At least that's they way I interpreted it ;)

No doubt Waters will average 80 in 2015 - and what a game it will be!

hahaha love it ;)

SC is a contested players game, or a kickers game.

Higgins had a contested possession rate of 24.81% which is very very low. He's an outside player, and his ball use is good (74% effective) but he kicked just 51.96% of the time and that is disgraceful for such an uncontested player. Heath Shaw is the kicking elite and runs at 29.22% contested and disposes of the ball by foot 77.22% of the time @75.9 effective. Higgo has a lot to go to get to that level. Don't get me started on tackles.

Isn't Missy priced at $400k or did i miss something?

checks; yes he is $410k

I realise solid defender options are thin but he is not the answer.

He will not be last years Swallow

Waters has value, missy doesn't

Whitey could be a nice downgrade option coming into the byes

Spot on dogg

Cant believe there has even been this much talk about him lol no chance he will be a Top 6-10 defender

If he was 300k he would be worth a shot, but 410k? LOL no chance

He's always been a preseason star but now he has somehow magically morphed from a soft half back flank to an inside midfielder while maintaining his elite footskills. If he plays in the guts in the nab cup then I might change my mind about him. Cunnington tipped to spend more time forward lends weight to the Higgins in the midfield talk. Did average 89 in his 4th season and I'd take that from D6.

eaglesman

I honestly think Higgins is worth a shot this season! He will thoroughly benefit being in a better side imo

Haven't had the knackers to pick him though but I would not be criticising anyone that does

fasttrack13

North don't really rely on small rebounding defenders. Run of there mids Harvey, wells, Dal Santo etc... Really only worth if like daisy said he was 300k.

Is he a good pod for F4 ??

He's burnt me too many times but played well in the NAB. If I was going to pick him though I would pick him in the backline as forwards have a lot better premos and rookies

Yeah I'm unsure about who to pick. Only have 415k and Shaun Higgins seemed the best unless to downgrade him to a rookie.
