Is anyone actually considering this guy? Not hearing much about him.

He played injured last year and was obviously unhappy.

Moves to GWS with a fresh start and although will most likely cop the first tag, he always copped that at the bulldogs anyway.

Anyone think he can return to his 2013 form?

While risky, A player that could go 115+ for $530,700 is tempting

I was and still am looking at him but as you said he will cop the first tag and it will hold him back a bit.

Ward will be freed up more in my opinion and that's why I would be leaning towards him although he is about 70k more I think he will be a top 3 yes top 3 midfielder this year and also be right up there in the brownlow as well.

Personally I'm not considering him because I don't think he will average enough to be a keeper. I think he will average 105 maximum.

Think he would be closer to 110 but the point stands.

Any reason you don't think he can get back to 2013 form?

I reckon he's definitely worth a punt quinny but doesn't fit into my side... I'm backing Jobe for a return to form, also have GAJ, Pendles and Ward (I'm with moneyshot in saying that Ward is gonna explode this year), can't afford Griff too. I think I would rather see him play in NAB and just see how he goes in the team before jumping on.

I don't trust nab form for anyone apart from rookies because it's more than often a false indicator.

Going to find it hard to put him in my side too but I have a feeling that he may be a punt that pays off

He only has 1 season out of 10 above 110. (10 - 1 is 9. 110 has 3 numbers. 9 divided by 3 is 3. A triangle has 3 sides... illuminardy?)

Illuminardy aside, I'd rather go Ward for points, or Greene for value at GWS.

Injury History, Scoring History and the likelihood of the tag all mean he is a definitive no for me.

Considering him! 70k cheaper than ward! Come on that screams value!
I have ward in my team for now till I see what sort of condition griff is ...

Not so much NAB form in terms of SC scoring, just how he slots in and plays in the team and what opposition teams do. Agree SC points aren't worth much but it tells you something in terms of the dynamic of players.

Jobe Watson only has 2 years above 110 but people seem to think he is a safe pick, myself included lol

Reckon my team changes 5 to 10 times a day, and Griff is currently in and has been in most of the time. I think that Leon Cameron got him so that we could get some cheap SC points. My current midfield is :-
Gazza,  Pendles,  Gray (will end up forward),  Murphy,  Danger,  and Griff. After Gazz and Pendles I've tried to get mids who I think will or could be in the 6 to 11 finishing order. Cheers all.    :o

Has to be considered but I, along with many others, advise caution. If he can return to his 2013 form then he is, at the least, a pretty good pick. However, one has to consider that his 2013 is really the outlier in his fantasy resume to date. Griffen has always been one of those players whom I believed would play to that sort of level for much of his career and, as such, I always considered him based on potential alone. He finally reached that level in 2013 but there's no guarantee he will do so at GWS. He could just as easily average 95 or he could get close to 120. I can easily see myself agonising over whether or not to include him in my team just prior to GWS's first match of the year.
