Backs: Shaw, Hibberd, Jaensch, Newnes, Waters, Goddard, (Dick, Viojo-Rainbow)

Midfield: Pendlebury, Selwood, Kennedy, Ward, van Berlo, Heeney, Freeman, Amon, (Boekhorst, Laverde, Steele)

Rucks: Goldstein, Naitanui (Cox)

Forwards: Deledio, Goddard, Bennell, Swan, Bellchambers, Clark, (Hogan, Lambert)

Jaensch is in an interesting pick, and probably the first team Ive seen with him - reckon he can back up last year and still play that same role? Think I'd rather Hurn, but he could be a great pick

Team looks great all over. I guess when you leave Gary out it really allows you go get all line right!

Jaensh was the last selected, but I see a lot of premium potential in him. Definitely looking at other premium defenders at the same price/just below, as long as they don't have the round 12 bye. Hurn's one I'm considering for sure. Cheers!

New team here guys:

DEF: Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Newnes, Waters, Dick, (Goddard, Wigg)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Kennedy, Ward, van Berlo, Heeney, Freeman, (Vandenburg, Boekhorst, Laverde)

RUC: Naitanui, Kreuzer, (Read)

FWD: Deledio, Goddard, Swan, Bellchambers, Clark, Hogan, (Lambert, Steele)

Remaining Salary: $6,600

After a lot of toil, I've downgraded Goldy to Kreuz (on the proviso he plays first ruck), and traded Bennell to Ablett (via a DPP rookie). I also traded Jaensch to Hurn. I'll wait and see how he goes, but I'll keep all of Simpson/Birchall/Jaensch as round 11 bye upgrade options. As much as I loved Bennell, I could well finish my forward line with Gray, Buddy & Dusty. Of course, someone will come along too cheap to refuse. For that reason, I saw Ablett as more important than starting Bennell, even though I think he'll have a huge year.

I like Dick.

I mean, I like the Dick pick.

I mean, I think Dick should have plenty of solid time up the back.

I'll stop now. I have whitecross at moment, but if not named I'll stick Dick in...

Do u think Newnes is worth the extra $100k over Yeo? Or worth the price in general? I had him but I took him out.

Nice mids. You've gone NVB over Biggs, think he can score well enough?

Same rucks as me so awesome  8)

A lot of people seem to have jumped on Goddard and Deledio, I haven't at this stage but starting to wonder.

Solid team

fasttrack13

That's a really solid team! I don't like the ruck strategy but if it comes off you'll be looking very good!

I see Newnes as a guy who can average 90 and be a keeper. I think Yeo is more of a stepping stone, but I might jump on if I want the cash. I'll look closely at both their roles in the NAB.

Lids has 7 years of 100+ scoring, finished last year on fire, and is one of the most durable guys in the AFL. Dusty may end up with the same average by the end of the year, so if I want $20k I might swap them, but Lids is oh so reliable. BJ is my first picked forward. Take out his injury game and his average goes to 107. It was even higher until he had to cover for an injured Carlisle and Belly as FF at times.

NVB may well end up Biggs, depends where they both start round 1. Maybe both ;)

The Kreuzer pick depends 100% on how Mick uses him, but if he starts in the ruck (where he should), I like how I've used the money.

Thanks guys!

I am thinking Trevor Marmalade nomination worthy   ;D

DEF: Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Newnes, Waters, Dick, (Goddard, Wigg)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood A Swallow, Kennedy, Ward, van Berlo, Heeney, Freeman, (Vandenburg, Boekhorst, Laverde)

RUC: Naitanui, Kreuzer, (Read)

FWD: Deledio, Goddard, Swan, Bellchambers, Clark, Hogan, (Lambert, Steele)

Remaining Salary: $6,600 $149,300

Thoughts on downgrading Jelwood to Swallow? I think Jelwood is a tad ovrepriced, he should average 115-120 still, make the top 5 and has a good bye so he's certainly still worth the starting price. However, Swallow (same bye) should average 105-110, and I think I can use that $140k to make more than 10 points elsewhere.

I could certainly use it to bring in a Whitecross/Biggs type of rookie. Or even go Clark to JMartin.

Definitely downgrade swallow, use extra dosh on Krooz...

Money Shot

Like that idea but where would you use the extra cash?
I like Selwood but I am thinking of using him as an upgrade target also but I guess if you have the money why not get him in from the start.

I still won't have enough to get Goldy though :(

Like I said, if I need to get a more expensive rookie, eg Whitecross or Biggs. I guess if I don't then I'll have the spare cash left over and get him back in :)

Ok:

DEF: Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn Lumumba, Newnes, Waters, Dick, (Goddard, Wigg)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Ward, A Swallow, van Berlo, Heeney, Freeman, (Vandenburg, Boekhorst, Laverde)

RUC: Naitanui, Kreuzer Goldstein, (Read)

FWD: Deledio, Goddard, Swan, Bellchambers, Clark, Hogan, (Lambert, Steele)

Remaining Salary: $2,400

Hurn to Lumumba frees up enough cash to go Kreuz back to Goldy. Hurn and Heretier share the same bye, and I can see Lumumba getting within 5 points of Hurn at this stage anyway. Whilst I may be sacrificing a top 10 defender there, I'm getting Goldy back, and hey, I've seen worse backlines!

I'm back to 14 keepers now hopefully. Thoughts on this team?

Mat0369

I think Hurn is an injury risk so it is a good move. He is one I will keep an eye on as an upgrade later in the season so I don't see an issue with it.

Money Shot

Great move there teams looking mighty fine at the moment 8)

I would have Daniel over lambert as a fwd rookie but I have to say that looks like a complete team.
BIG fan of Lumumba this year too...at that price.

Nice job.
