* I will definitely try to incorporate Ballantyne, Beams, Steele if they play rd 1 and perform well in NAB
*Still got 280k, so I can upgrade a fwd if there's injury problems/poor form in NAB
*May change a few premiums in backs, particularly thinking of H.Shaw and Hodge
*Gibbs and Palmer are 2 players who I think will be great in 09, may even drop Judd
*Is K Cornes the man I should start with? Or go a Geelong mid, Thompson, or Swan?

I would upgrade coughlan to a premium midfielder, apart from that your side looks pretty good

that forward line is real shaky, i know i wouldnt be confident with it.

decent backline aslong as malceski holds up.

couglan is still iffy, but if he comes off...well your set. i have Kornes in my team also, but he is my second lock behind swannie, wouldnt have him as my first...if i were you i'd put corey or bartel in.

400k in my mind is way too much to have left over...in my experience, its best to start the year with the best team you can possibly put on the park.

also, i would be wanting a decent backup ruckman for the year if your playing fraser...injury prone.

sorry my mistake, i only have 280k. i had 2 teams open at once, hence the error.

the fwds are risky. i am not that good of a judge, but it seems more of the cheap fwds will play earlier than backs and mids, but i am open for any cheap prospects in the latter 2.

As for Fraser, I just subbed him out for Jolly based on your advice and a quick look at his history. Subsquently I have modified my post

the fwd line is weak (like mine), i too believe there is greater cheap fwd value this yr

cogs is a risk, and i'm not sold on judd as a dt player, particularly if no one else in carlton is gonna get their hands dirty so he can run and carry
