I am interested in how many trades people think it will take for their teams to reach 22 keepers.

For this to work the rule which applies is keepers must be priced in excess of the following.

Forwards 500k minimum (probably more like 525k)
Rucks 550k minimum
Mids 600k minimum
Defenders 475k minimum

Other rules (luxury if they make keeper status)

Players like luey will not make the cut off
Waters will be given 2 trade penalty

ugh I don't have time to complete the rules of this game ... Someone else take over this idea please ?

While they're priced in that region, you'll be getting quite a few keepers who have fallen in price. E.g. guys like Buddy and Zorko is the forward line got to around 430k and 400k respectively. And a lot of defenders drop down in price quite a lot as well.

I've currently got 12 premos and Seedsman/Waters/Belly (3 should take 4-5 trades to upgrade, although think Seedsman can be a keeper), so I'd be hoping for around 20-22 trades to complete my team, but we all know things like this never go to plan :P

Last year I was fully premo by rd10 by dumb trading and by that I mean culling rookies early not waiting those extra weeks. So I burnt too many trades to get there.  So when I had injuries I had 4 trades left with 10 rounds to go and had no chance. Somehow managed to get a decent rank.

I think this year with the value of fallen midpricers to rookies or fallen premos to midpricers. It will be a very quick cash generation early on. Potentially by first bye most people will have 3-5 upgrades left then probably fully premo at latest rd13.
I'm hoping my team will have the right players to allow me to be able get it done earlier however I will probably wait so I can trade my way around the byes as they are in an awkward spot because they are right when people want to be fully upgraded

600k min for Midfielders seem a bit too high for mine. Reckon 550-575k+ is more reasonable

If they use Varcoe off the half back flank, Seedsman may be the super sub so watch the NAB carefully.
