Hey guys, i've seen a lot of teams including my own currently that have Zak Jones sitting at D6, what does everyone think the chances of him starting in Sydneys side are? For that matter starting with no vest as well?
Has anyone heard anything about his pre season if his smashing it or if he is poised to slot into the Malceski role?

Rusty00

Longmire had said he is a chance to take Malceski's role, but so are a number of other players.

We'll need to monitor pre-season games for an idea as to who fills the spot on HB.

I don't really think he'll score that well.

Kellogscrunchynut

He's certainly got a good chance of getting in the side, however scoring well is another story.

The way its looking... ill take an average of 40 at d6 lol.

yeah I don't think he'll get much beyond 40-50 average. For a decent portion of his matches he'll be a >50% Vest chance

I am not sure, if he plays in defense with the occasional run through the mids, I think the guys like Heeney, jack and lloyd will lock the vest duties up. Still not going to get much more than 60 avg

I don't think so

Longmire is already looking for flexability from Jetta and Ried down back.

Others are lining up for that spot.

I'd select Gary Rohan ahead of him.

That is just the latest in a long line of articles about the backline. Jones will be involved, dont doubt it.

Has a bit less experience than Jack and Lloyd so that could work against him if Longmire brings him as a green vest to then come on as a defensive lock down tackler.

Not to mention he'll have to more or less permanently push out Shaw (maybe injury will help) so I'm unconvinced.
