The Herald Sun's Sam Landsberger is reporting that Port Adelaide's Irish rookie Daniel Flynn has returned home for family reasons and may not return.

Oh Well, if it's for his grandpa, can't really say I hope it is, for his grandpa's sake' or if he's homesick, well better to find out early I suppose

AFTER a week spent with the European Legion team in London, Irishman Daniel Flynn is keen to resume his AFL career with Port Adelaide.

Flynn was recruited by the Power last year as an international rookie after impressing at the NAB AFL Draft Combine, and trained with the club throughout the pre-season.

He played his first AFL game in February during the NAB Challenge, but in March he headed home to be with his terminally ill grandfather, who died shortly after Flynn left Australia.

Flynn also struggled with homesickness, but has kept in touch with Port Adelaide and is keen to get back into things at Alberton Oval.
