Have been talking about some of these players for a few years now but, who is looking the goods early season for the crows? (Ill be away all weekend so doing it now before the Port game)

Cam Ellis-Yolman: he's the bolter from the blue after a huge pre-season fitness wise and with his big body and composure under pressure, get ready ;)  only drama is CD flowered up again as he played mainly back the last two years ::)  MID only

Jarred Lyons: I like him and am real surprised he chose to stay and didn't opt to return to a Vic club, but glad he didn't! Real talent in waiting although he's played a handful of games now, he looks good forward with his leap and nice marking/crumbing and also been a leading clearance winner in the guts since he joined the club at the lower level. Looked real good against the Cats

Matt Crouch: Unfortunately he had a setback and isn't training just yet, will the lack of fitness cost him in his quest to follow Champion brother Brad?

Jake Lever: Our  first draft pick and future hope with Talia, had an un interrupted pre-season as far as I know but isn't ready to play just yet, they will take their time getting him right and after a few games in the Ressies I can see him getting opportunities mid year for the crows. But it's next year Ill be watching this guy more closely! Champion Junior coming off a Knee :-\  But possibly a downgrade mid year for us although not the cheapest?

Mitch Grigg: Last year two blokes had outstanding pre-seasons, Matty Wright and Matty Jaensch, (Jaenschy went on to be a KEEPER in our back six! :o  Unsurprising to anyone who has seen his lethal left foot dominate the SANFL since he joined the crows from Sturt via the Rookie list)
Griggy is one of these who has had a big pre-season probably due to the fact he "Had to" Under new ruthless Coach Walshy!
Well he needed a kick up the backside and it seems as if he got it! Still not in the best 22 and has all the work to do ahead of him but, he is a gifted inside mid with another deadly left foot! We are all awaiting Mitch Grigg to "Put it all together" As I have likend him to the old Diesel :o  Ok he isn't going to be Greg Williams but has shown me the traits of Diesel for a few years now, albeit in the SANFL.     ..... TIME TO STEP UP NOW MITCH GRIGG!!!

Sam Kerridge: I love this guy too, runs and runs with work ethic to boot but, I like his footy smarts and he is good overhead. He's an old fashioned Utility who might just play more up field given his goal sese and marking ability, yet he might continue the "Run with" Roles he's had, he's good at most positions and maybe not great at any. But I like him, he can play and despite some idiots on this forum (If anyone remembers), he is in the best 22 and set for a BREAK OUT

Kerridge has injured his hammy and is in doubt for rd1

Who do you think benefits the most from that? Ellis-Yolmen?

Just heard about Sammy, Definitely suits C E-Y, I think he's a m0nty to start now :O

All we need now is to hope that Cam's body is big enough to avoid the vesto! Lyons the one to benefit thee most though I think given he is also more flexible unlike say a Grigg/Laird

I hope CEY gets in :)

Reckon NVB would get his old tagging role again now with Kerridge out?

Another m0nty so given VB starts in the midfield, we all start him now :P

Still worried about CEY Vest but sheesh, just let the boy loose! Confidence can do wonders which is Why I am against starting first/young players with the green!

But I think Mr Walsh is pretty smart! He will know how to handle the side better than me :)  as long as Cam Ellis-Yolmen isn't wearing green  :P  Id look at Martin/Jaensch/Douglas/Thommo even, FIRE EM UP! But then Thommo's errors might cost us

If they stop giving Grigg the vest he can actually show everyone what he can do.

Yeah this  the thing, with Lyons, Grigg ect, look mat little CC, he got a string of full games and he thribed on them, Lyons and Grigg will too!! I like Griggy, dynamite left foot, the next Sammy Mitchel almost to a tee really! Except a better kick than Sam, maybe wont be such a great inside clearance but he is pretty good! Lyons is too!

Cant wait to see now that Kerridge and Matty Crouch are out, if these two get an early go in the guts ;D  Wouldn't mind a quiet injury to Thommo tbh :-X  Id rather see these two get a real go than have Thommo turning it over with bombs every clearance!

Thommo is injured and in doubt for round 1 but when he is back, I see Walsh playing two of Grigg, Lyons and Thommo each week. Thommo needs to be managed this year.

- I can definitely see Ellis-Yolmen and Lyons stepping up, but improvement from all players.

- Big year for Griggy hope he takes his chances, same with Hartigan.

- Brown may be in a tight tussle with Laird and Martin for that back pocket spot; I can see Cheney getting the other

- Siggins may get a crack too but not sure where he sits in the pecking order

- I really like the look of Kelly as well, real solid player. Lives with Paddy and he's nicknamed the Bull

- Lever will take time and he'll probably play in the SANFL a while, but going to be a top quality player so we shouldn't rush him

- Matty Crouch will keep putting his hand up week in week out, don't know where he sits in the pecking order. Best 22? Maybe, definitely best 25.

- Kerridge is a gun he doesn't need to prove anything  ::)
