Well, we're going to let you in on a September secret: Fremantle is the most aggressive offensive side in the competition.

In one from the 'You'll never believe it' file, the Dockers hit the inside 50m corridor the most in the AFL, directing the ball to where its rivals hate most - right in front of goal.

Fremantle's Inside 50 entries.

Fremantle forces its opponents to go wide Inside 50.

Fremantle enters the finals with the seventh-best attack, averaging 0.2 points less than the sixth-ranked Geelong. The Dockers rank only ninth for inside 50s, but it's their efficiency once inside 50m that allows them to score.

Once inside the arc they goal 26.9 per cent of the time - ranked second behind Hawthorn. Against top eight sides this year Fremantle is averaging the third-most points behind Hawthorn and Sydney.

The criticism they can't score is looking increasingly like a myth. The 2014 version of the Dockers are more offensively adventurous, not that Lyon wants you to know it yet.

Having 2 elite small forwards is going to be a struggle for most teams.
