it got referred straight to the tribunal, of which we're currently posting about (updates on the AFL site)
apparently his defence is making it look like "Picken was holding him down"

he kinda was, but there's no need for bodily contact for that, and certainly not a chokehold

current debate is whether the "throw" (to put Picken on the ground in the first place) was misconduct, and then the forearm to the throat was misconduct too
both have an answer of yes imo,
a hand to the gut is more effective, rather than the throw
and then you could've got up without putting your arm on him

something like 79pts carry over - apparently his legal team stuffed up and the argument they tried to run didn't have any legs ...reckless over intentional I heard they tried to run but apparently wouldn't have made any difference to the penalty so instead of copping the 2wks and having 9 carry over pts, he still has 2wks

i am glad that the Browlow issue is put to rest but the AFL should thank their lucky stars and fix up the shambolic MRP system - blind Freddy knows that it is flowered!  :P  ::)  ;)

no excuses for off-the-ball/behind play cheap shots in my opinion - I will say though that Fyfe has been getting 'sniped' the last few weeks and no protection just like Danger ...

AFL issues in order of seriousness:
1) MRP
2) holding the ball/incorrect disposal interpretation/rule - fix it, or don't bother having it as a rule imo ...
3) cheap shots/off-the-ball/behind play hits
4) flopping

lost a lot of respect for Boomer, when he claimed Crowley pinched him 'like a thousand times' even though everyone hates a tagger but Boomer, please?  and now, "it was just the way we fell ..." Boomer, double please?
