So I doubted the big fella when he was on the bubble and have been regretting it ever since...

Is it too late to get him in as my F6 @ $450K

Current line up is Danger, Dusty, Parker, Zorko, Franklin, Shenton (Cameron, Keresten)

The alternative is that I get Boomer, but will have to bring in Smitchel at D8...

Thoughts?

Free Kick

Yeah, I missed that boat too but was strongly considering him also just for the fact I have Thurlow at R4 and would be very handy to have the DPP for finals.

That being said,  Boomer does have a great run home so he would be infront I rekon.. Good luck with your desicion 8)

Who would be your D7, for Mitchell to be D8?
Actually what does your whole backline look like, it must be pretty strong.
It's probably best brining in the best forward you can, which would be Boomer.

SydneyRox

Its a lot to pay for an F6 who could revert to form at any time IMO

I would be more comfortable with a Dahlhaus/Zorko as F6. but thats me.

And i got on the train in time....

I think he might of meant M8. If he did, then his option might be something like Martin + JPK or Boomer + Smitch, and I think the first option wins out

Keep in mind that his good scores will only last as long as he remains the sole Ruckman.
How far off is Berger?

I'm not entirely sure about this. Berger had a setback, so that's a plus for Martin and surely Burger would have to come back through the NEAFL. With the Lions season cooked I'm hoping they just shelve the big fella and let Martin ruck the season out

The beauty of Martin is that he seems to get 20 odd touches give or take each week in addition to his hit outs

As for getting him now, averaging 105 over 6 games with a low of 89 isn't a fluke IMO, but if you can Boomer I would get him instead (I think)

I posted in another thread that Berger only played half a game in the NEAFL last week and was taken off when complaining of Achilles soreness,

Would not surprise now if Brisbane just cottonballed him as they have too much to lose by playing him and nothing to gain.

Martin is really playing for his position at lions as he was in danger of being delisted. So if Berger returns and Brisbane play dual rucks which they will martin will still have that intensity.

I just mentioned in another thread I don't think it's too late given he's 4th highest average for a fwd or ruck, but the lions SC finals draw aint nice. SMart has posted great scores against quality ruckmen though so could definitely be worth the gamble...

Not too late at all if it improves ya team. People doing all sorts of sideways trades now we are at the business end.
