very cheap backline by the sounds of it.
try ziebell

You mean forward line? mcgynn for points, hentchel for profit, neither if you wanna win something. Yarran is ready made, Wade thompson if elevated, ziebell or gumby or even jarrad grant. all better choices.

neither if you wanna win something??

excuse me?

Yarran - fringe player at the moment, could be in and out of the side. will score relatively well if playing.
Thompson - don't consider until he's elevated. even then there's a million and one of his type of player going around at Port. will need to perform very well to keep his spot if he makes it.
ziebell - might get dropped round 2 or 3 if he doesn't keep playing well. only young and laidley won't force him to play at AFL level by giving him games if he ain't playing well.
Gumbleton - will get injured by the third quarter of round 1.
Jarrad Grant - Eade has already said he'll only play 6-10 games this year, may not be games early, or enough frequency to get $$$

however

McGlynn - if fit (rolled his ankle and will miss this week) could potentially take over crawfs role on the half forward flank pushing into the middle. hard nut that can find the footy.
Hentchel - the guy is $122k and already locked inot round 1 according to Craig. Just needs to stay fit and will be a good earlier cash maker, especially seeing as the crowes forward line has more holes than a golf course.

or are you leading people astray?

Marcus

I think he is trying to make up for Laidley's lack of playing kids.

cheers SpeedMeades well thought out post with ur thoughts on each player. I had McGlynn till i heard he rolled his ankle and then thought perhaps hentschell i guess i will wait and hope i can c the hawks team b4 the lock out.

Just my to cents on McGlynn:

A good solid tryer but not in our best 22. So it would be a risk to include him in your starting lineup.
