In case you were wathcing him for your team

AUSTIN Wonaeamirri appears to have re-injured his troublesome hamstring in another nightmare injury blow for Melbourne.
The livewire forward looked to hurt his left leg chasing down an opponent early in the third term of a VFL practice match today.

A concerned-looking Wonaeamirri limped off the field and was taken straight up the race for medical attention.

He did not return to the game.

So that makes Wonna and Jurrah out??

Yup, and Cale Morton as well. Poor Dees might get another spoon

valkorum

Then some promising youngsters too with Tapscott, Blease, Watts

Cicjose

Blease is coming back from a broken leg watts has a sore back and tapscott had an operation on his hip and is out for 4 months so how the hell will melbourne win games is beyond me if nathan jones and aaron davey are tagged, cause aaron and cameron bruce are not fully fit yet either so another spoon is up for grabs for melbourne

A Fair bet given prospector just said that

And to think if they finish bottom then they have only one later pick in the top 11 overall in the next draft. Now is not the time to be struggling.

So true :-\ Melbourne should hang onto there veterans till the Gold Coast/GWS phase then trade all of them for draft picks :) Could work, they will rule the draft!

The trick is to find diamonds on the rough. Classic example Kurt Tippett. He was a 3rd round draft pick and coming into year 3 he has the credentials now of any number one pick coming into the same stage of their careers. He and Matthew Kreuzer are similar in time frames and (whilst I may be biased) Tippett is a fraction ahead in talent and development. Kreuzer was a nos 1 pick. So they can be found. We (Adelaide) have started finding them since Matt Rendall took over as recruiting manager and we got rid of that last hack (Fantasia) who now is at the Bulldogs. He is good at getting ones like Hall. They are all of a sudden looking very old the Bulldogs. I wouldnt want to be in their shoes in 2 years time.
