Now targetting Selwood, Swan and one other as I really didn't expect Murphy to be a keeper.

Murphy or Libber might have to go for Griffen / Watson / Cotchin / etc IF other lines come together.

Long way to go.

Agree with vinny about keepers being top in their respective positions.

Value vinny? 440 / 550 / 500 / 440?

Parker as a forward yes.

T Mitchell - my jury is out - like him. What's he worth and what is his BE?

$424000
With a high BE - NOT a keeper.

Agree?
The reason i ask is that both will play similar roles this year for the Swans. One will do a role one week, one will do a job the following week. Both will spend time in the fwds and mids this year and should score similar scores each week

Vinny

That looks pretty spot on Doc, in my opinion probably add 30k to defenders and forwards but thats just me!

Capper

What about scooter?? Would you call him a keeper??

RaisyDaisy

Without reading through the entire thread, a keeper to me is someone who I plan on keeping in my best 22 all year

I plan on my best 22 averaging very well for their position. Price is irrelevant.

15 keepers 29 trades left including jeansch and swallow

That seems a good foundation for the season. Good job.

13 + Higgjns, Fasolo and Suckling.

If suckling keeps going the way he is, will become a keeper IMO

As for what is a keeper:

Defenders and Forwards: 95+ average
Midfield: 110+
Rucks: 105+

Footyrulz

A keeper is someone that has to stay in your team when you run out of trades to get rid of them!

I would say that in defense, ruck and forward, that average is 95. Though 90 could possibly also cut it, maybe for a bench back up spot.

In midfield it's more like 105, possibly 100.

Blues Blues Blues

12 + Titchell, Fasolo, Suckling, Higgins and 27 trades.

A few more downgrades this week, so hopefully by end of following week I'll have 14 keepers + Titchell, Fasolo, Suckling, Higgins and 23 trades.

Slow and steady this year...

Ringo

Everyone seems to have different opinions as to who are keepers but I agree with those that say who will be in the Top 10/15

ATM
Def 3 plus probably Suckling
Mids 4
Rucks 2
Forwards 4 plus maybe Fasolo but jury still out on this one. Maybe sound F6 in the long term,

So 13/14 + 25 trades

Capper

atm i am looking similar
Def 3 plus suckling
Mids 3 plus Scooter
Rucks 2
Fwds 5 + Titch

This should be the definition of a keeper.

Defender/Forward/Ruck averaging 95+
Midfielder averaging 105+

Also that player will finish top 10 defender and forward, top 5 ruckman, top 12-15 averaging midfielder. Price is close to irrelevant.

I have 12 keepers with Lobbe (hoping he can become a keeper  :-\). Only made the two corrective trades with two downgrades for cash generation and two upgrades over next two weeks to have 14 premiums. Should have 18 keepers by end of byes with Fasolo, Suckling, Lobbe and a rookie occupying the other positions on the field.
